David Pays Tribute to John Martyn

We're proud to confirm that a tribute album for the late, John Martyn is in the works and will feature David's version of "Let The Good Things Come" which John recorded for his album Bless The Weather, originally released in 1971. UK Opening Act: Ruarri Joseph

David's begins touring throughout the UK and Europe this week and for three of his six dates he will be joined by opening act, Ruarri Joseph. Two New Shows, Three New Presales

The demand to see David Gray and Ray LaMontagne in concert is so overwhelming that two new shows have been added to their schedule. The first new show is September 11, at Edgefield in Troutdale, OR, and the second one is September 12, at Marymoor Amphitheatre in Redmond, WA. As you may already know, David and Ray's August 22 show in Nashville TN, previously scheduled at Grand Ole Opry House, has been moved to the Bridgestone Arena (all other show details remain unchanged). David & Ray Donate Proceeds To Habitat for Humanity

In response to the devastation caused by recent floods, acclaimed singer-songwriters David Gray and Ray LaMontagne have pledged to donate 20% of all proceeds from their upcoming Nashville, TN concert to Habitat for Humanity. Through their donation, the pair hope to lend support to help reestablish and rebuild the city. The artists are still set to perform in Nashville on August 22nd though the venue has been changed to the Bridgestone Arena.

In response to the duo’s decision, David Gray said, "Nashville is a music town, founded on its proud musical heritage, but is as vital now as it ever was. To play there as a musician is always a special thing. Nashville crowds have a unique and passionate appreciation, not only of the songwriter’s art, but also of the musicianship that brings it to life. I am proud to be able to lend my support to the rebuilding of the city."

Ray LaMontagne adds, “Nashville is such a part of this country's musical heritage that, as a musician, I'm happy to be raising money for such a worthy cause. As a human being, I'm happy to be helping people rebuild their lives.”

The Foundling

Less than a year after releasing his critically acclaimed eighth album Draw the Line, David Gray has announced the release of a new studio album, Foundling, out on August 17, 2010 on Mercer Street Records/Downtown Music. This two-disc set will feature the full length album and a nine-song bonus disc featuring never before released material including the first single "A Moment Changes Everything."

Recorded in London and produced by himself, Foundling picks up where Draw the Line leaves off, creating a new chapter of lush, soulful songs that finds Gray returning to his folk music roots. The first single, "A Moment Changes Everything" is an upbeat driving force, while songs such as the album opener "Only The Wine" and the bluesy title track "Foundling" show David Gray’s understated artistry and hauntingly beautiful vocals that have garnered him fans across the globe.
