David’s live version of "Fugitive" will appear on the Cities 97 Sampler 22, appearing in November at local Target stores with proceeds benefiting various charitable organizations.
Cities 97 Sampler is a series of albums which has been released annually since 1989 and contains “live in studio” recordings from radio station Cities 97 (KTCZ 97.1) in Minneapolis, Minnesota. David and other featured artists are donating their Studio C performance to this cause; be sure to show them your support!

I was deeply shocked and saddened, to receive the news of Dave Kemp's recent and unexpected passing. Dave has been a regular fixture at my concerts for many years and was usually pretty easy to spot from the stage, in his trademark shirt and braces. Everyone in the band and crew knew and liked him and he will be greatly missed by us all.
Dave had a seemingly boundless enthusiasm for my music which was very touching, and he was always waiting at the stage door for a photo and a signature, often both before and after the show. I've know idea how many concerts of mine he attended, but I know that he passed fifty some time ago.
Some fans get a little carried away when they meet you, but Dave was never like that, he was always kept a respectful distance and never got too 'in your face'.
When Dave shared his great passion for music with other fans, he did it in a generous spirited and utterly infectious way, never crowing about how many shows he'd seen, how good his seats were, or how well he knew the band.
The next British tour won't be quite the same without him.
Dave, God bless you, you were a true gentleman.
The thoughts of not only myself, but everyone in the band and crew go out to Dave's family and friends at this sad time.

We're proud to confirm that a tribute album for the late, John Martyn is in the works and will feature David's version of "Let The Good Things Come" which John recorded for his album Bless The Weather, originally released in 1971. The first new show is September 11, at Edgefield in Troutdale, OR, and the second one is September 12, at Marymoor Amphitheatre in Redmond, WA. As you may already know, David and Ray's August 22 show in Nashville TN, previously scheduled at Grand Ole Opry House, has been moved to the Bridgestone Arena (all other show details remain unchanged). In response to the devastation caused by recent floods, acclaimed singer-songwriters David Gray and Ray LaMontagne have pledged to donate 20% of all proceeds from their upcoming Nashville, TN concert to Habitat for Humanity. Through their donation, the pair hope to lend support to help reestablish and rebuild the city. The artists are still set to perform in Nashville on August 22nd though the venue has been changed to the Bridgestone Arena.
In response to the duo’s decision, David Gray said, "Nashville is a music town, founded on its proud musical heritage, but is as vital now as it ever was. To play there as a musician is always a special thing. Nashville crowds have a unique and passionate appreciation, not only of the songwriter’s art, but also of the musicianship that brings it to life. I am proud to be able to lend my support to the rebuilding of the city."
Ray LaMontagne adds, “Nashville is such a part of this country's musical heritage that, as a musician, I'm happy to be raising money for such a worthy cause. As a human being, I'm happy to be helping people rebuild their lives.”

On June 7, 2010, David Gray is set to re-issue his eighth studio album, Draw The Line in the UK.
It will be preceded by the digital release of ‘A Moment’ on May 30th.
