BBC Radio 2 show

David Gray is performing a special show for Radio 2 with the BBC Concert Orchestra on Wednesday 21st December at an east London venue.

The show will be broadcast on BBC Radio 2 on New Years Eve from 19.30 - 21.00

davidgray.com has 15 pairs of tickets to give away for the show, all you need to do is send an e-mail to competition@ihtrecords.com with the subject line as RADIO 2 SHOW and give your full name, e-mail address and postal address. 15 names will be randomly picked and you must e-mail before Wednesday 14th December 1pm UK time.

'A WAY OF LIFE' wins international awards!

A Way of Life hit the Jackpot this weekend winning three prizes within just a few hours.

The Miami Film Festival came to an end on Saturday 12th February and at its closing ceremony awarded A Way of Life with its Grand Jury prize for Best Film.

At the same festival The International Federation of Film Critics (FIPRESCI) then also presented A Way of Life with its prize for Best Film.

The final of the three honours came after the film's director, Amma Asante, scooped a BAFTA at the British Academy's Film Awards. BAFTA presented Asante with the Carl Foreman Award for Special Achievement by a Writer/Director in a debut feature at its ceremony in London's Leicester Square.

The three awards follow Asante being named The Times Breakthrough Artist of the Year at the South Bank Show Awards in January and her win at the London Film Festival in November 2004 where she was given the UK Film Talent Award sponsored by Alfred Dunhill, created to recognise an emerging filmmaker who has shown great skill and imagination in bringing originality and verve to film-making.
