just found this gem a box that unfortunately got stored in some extreme temps. this was my 1st time taping dg & i had no idea the levels i would need (or even that dg allowed taping at the time). i started on 'line-in' on my m1, during 1st song i switched to 'mic-in' as it didn't appear to be able to pull line levels (this was one of the first recordings i made on my dat). source info: GSAL or AT350's > sound professionals spsb-3 battery box > sony pcm-m1 dat - i need to find date i purchased the GSAL mics, it was likely the audio technica set.
there's some digi-noise around 17min in for a few seconds. other than that it sounds good for having to stealth tape this show. not exactly a taper-friendly venue regardless of the opinion of the bands that play there. no big deal, just fyi.
also, not that it overly matters but my 7pin spdif out cable died so it's analogue from line-out on the m1.
i had mentioned on here a couple of years ago that i'd taped this show but i didn't know where it was & nobody said they wanted it. i'll upload it to archive.org in case someone wants to tolerate a listen through the flaws. if someone has the set list names for this show & could post it here or a link to it, i'd appreciate it. not sure if there's any preference to anyone of having it in 24/48 or do most like 16/44.1 so to burn cd?
thanks to dg for having a taping policy & creating such wonderful music.
