just a copy and paste from my fb basically.........so awesome - and very DCA seats lol front row center balcony above the GA crowd - and for charity so all good! sorry for the bold......couldn't figure out how to undo it and I wasn't going to re-type all that lol

WOW!!!!!!! What a night at the Johnny Cash 80th Tribute Gig at Austin City Limits

So funny that completely by accident we stayed at the W Austin - which durh is directly linked to the new ACL Moody theatre - and of course stumbled on the Willie Nelson sculpture ceremony in the afternoon. Set the tone - and great food and beverage at this hotel!

But what a concert - such a stellar line-up of musi...
......cians all performing awesome jcash covers that WAAAAY exceeded any expectation (love it when that happens!):

Matthew McConaughey - host (made Maria happy!) - he also sang one song which was quite good btw
Brandi Carlile "Folsom City Blues" to kick it off
    Shelby Lynne "Why Me Lord"
Pat Monahan (Train) "Help Me Make it Through the Night" (with Kris K right there!)
    Jamey Johnson
    Carolina Chocolate Drops "Jackson" AWESOME!
Lucinda Williams - forget her cover but she was very good
Rhett Miller "Wreck of the Old 97" - totally rocked it out!
Kris Kristofferson "Until I Die" - we got a complete second take becasue of feedback - lucky!!!!!!
Ronnie Dunn "Ring of Fire" ........way better than Coldplay who does a great cover - greatness!!!!!!!!!
Sheryl Crow - she did a solo cover that I don't recall but her duo of "If I Were a Carpenter" with Willie was stunning!!!!!
Willie and co "Walk the Line" finale - great!
Iron & Wine (Sam Beam) "Long Black Veil" - by far the greatest moment of the gig - and I will say - hesitantly mind you - that he covered it better than David Gray - it was simply tremendous..............soul moving stuff

And what a cool venue at ACL - we will definitely be back! Awesome photos as well up on the mezz level!
