A note for those who want to go to this show and live in MN.  Sue McLean, the promoter of the show, has a presale available for their ticket club members.  It is $125 for the year, but gives you presale access to all their shows, including all the MN Zoo shows.  We joined this year and the David Gray presale started yesterday and we were able to get 5th row center seats. I think they still have seats available.

 Also a word to the wise if you have never seen a show at the Zoo.  You DO NOT want first or second row seats unless you intend on standing for the whole show.  There is about a 10 foot wide area between the first row and the stage that they open up for GA/SRO dancing once the show starts.  If you don't want to be in the middle of that melee, than you want seats a few rows back so you can see over their heads.  You can see the disappointment on the faces of the people who think they have first row and suddenly can't even see the stage because of the 5 people now in front of them.  There is not a bad seat in this venue except, in my opinion, the first two rows.  It is a very special place to see a show. 

What is considered first row?  A?  The thing about the David Gray presale is that you can't select your seats...you just know that you'll be between rows C and I.

I got one as well - it is just me going (I live really close to the zoo so couldn't miss out on this one).  Since I will be alone it will be nice to meet some of you from the site there.

I'm so disgusted.  I had RSVP'd to this event on Facebook and saw that the presale would not be until later this month.  Just got the Email less than an hour ago that the presale was on.  I am working and cannot be checking my Emails every 5 minutes.  A little advanced notice on this presale would have been nice.  What's the benefit to joining this site, really? 

 If anyone knows of another way to get tickets, please let me know.  I'm very disappointed.

presales feel like a tease...I would love to hear from ordinary fans who have actually been successful with a presale offering...acquiring concert tickets is my least favorite internet endeavor.   Love DavidGray and he is worth it - wish me luck when I use good old ticketmast later in the month!  I'm getting too old for this

I can think of a ton of benefits of joining this site, and one of them is the presales that they offer to concerts.  I have had great luck, including front row tickets, and I know that's true of many, many people on this board.  This is a community of like-minded people who share a love of the man and the music, among other things.  I have made dear, dear friendships with people from this site.  It's much more than a ticket office.  I hope you'll stick around and come to realize that. :)

let's just start this out that our dear friend vicki is much nicer than I - while a texan they cannot take the chicagoan out of the boy - she as a southerner has a much more gentle way of things.........

I am really looking forward to this gig - there are always the early tour jitters - chicago I think will be a huge party on the third night - I am counting on what I understand as an awesome venue for them to really settle into a very serious show.............and frankly I am worried a bit about the later ones given the schedule

WOW.  I had actually come back to this site this morning to apologize for my venting.  I was quite frustrated with the way the presale was handled.  Nothing personal against DG or any of his fans on this site. I was just extremely disappointed.  I'd spent more time checking this site, waiting for presale information, than I really had time for, and the advanced notice of the presale was next to nothing.  I did not realize that only positive comments were allowed.  While I see the value in sharing my love of DG music on this site with others, I also expect more from this site. Your response has made it clear that this is not a site where anyone is welcome and where good and bad can be shared. I will not be back.
