I think it's nice to see some band members together with David in the studio which implies they are busy working on the album and some very fine new music is in the process of being made... Yay!!!
As for your suggestion - David's personal message deserves a special thread in announcements, especially because many not so active members and viewers won't look into the other threads. It's technically impossible to put earlier posts underneath later ones and David's message should stay in the top first spot. So things should remain unmerged this once :)
