    Hi

I just discovered DG's music and I wonder where i've been for the past....  Where ever it's been, I'm so glad that I've finally found his music...  I'm 57, and I think for a lot of this music I must'va died and he invaded my head!!

Keep up the good work, and PLEASE PLEASE COME TO CONNECTICUT, USA FOR A CONCERT!!

Noel ~ Hello old friend. Great to see you are still around. I must say I haven't been here much myself lately:( shame on me.)

Welcome Annie41. Please look the site over.. you will find many friendly people here. Most of us are having withdrawals since David is not touring at this time.

    Cheers

I have never heard of this artist before..but I am so moved I can barley breath. There is some show of him on US public Television...I lost my beloved husband not 40 years old in January, and all I can say is from the first song I have been wailing as hard as the moment he died in my arms from cancer.  What this musicians story is or anything about him, I dont know..but his music is speaking every emotion I have of loss and love of my beloved.  I dont know if this is good or awful..I am in so much pain..but I have been dying emotionally since he came on..it hurts to no end yet I can not change the station.

It it heart breakingly beautiful.....and devastating

This is killing me bringing up feelings that paralyze me with horror and loss never to be healed. No music has hurt so much since my beautiful Fred left us 8.5  months ago.  I guess that must be a compliment for his talent...but I want to die.

    Dear Fredxoxo,

I am very sorry to hear about your loss. My deepest condolences. There is no comfort for such pain but although you may not be able to see it at the moment it will be easier to cope with over time.

David Gray has a special talent putting the deepest emotions into music, his songs show us things we may not have let come to the surface for a while yet there is always a positive twist to it, a glimmer of hope for brighter days...

    All the best, Rena

Thank you so much Rena.  When I have THAT visceral a reaction to art, it usually leads me to an unexpexted and profound place.I feel I must explore this artist, regardless of the pain he seems to bring up I obviously need to have catharsis through.

What album do you suggest  I should start with??  I hope this is not an insult...but at firsy I was about to change the station thinking it was Eddie Vedder...not a big fan..but then I heard thelyrics and the melodies and one become more moving then the last. This man I am extraordinarily amazed at touching the deepest greymatter...sub/and conscious mind.

    fredxoxo:

Oh Fredxoxo, your pain seeps straight through my screen..I'm so sorry you are suffering so much. I'm so happy for you that's you've stumbled upon DG. There is no one more capable of illustrating the extreme spectrum of emotion than David Gray. He brings life to the feeling of "hell on earth" that you are dealing with and in the next breath he affirms life in the most positive and transcendental way. But to answer your question I don't think it matters where you start...once you start you won't be able to stop until you've heard it all. I hope he helps you...I think he can. xoxoxoxoxoxox
