David Gray has generously offered Ruarri Joseph the opportunity to use his Church Studio to re-record his new album.
Ruarri Joseph whom many of you may have seen as a support act both on David's 2010 UK summer tour and at the Roundhouse in 2007 has just finished his new album which was recorded in a shed. Now David and his management are convinced this album to have the potential to be something special. Good luck Ruarri. David has offered his studio to inspiring new artists before. Bombay Bicycle Club have really made it afterwards so fingers crossed for Ruarri.
This is what he wrote on facebook:
so
an amazing opportunity has arisen.... my shed-recorded record was (i
thought!) good to go, when some of the demos fell into the hands of a
producer who i have a great deal of respect for at the same time as
Mondo management (home to damien rice, david gray, lisa hannigan et al)
decided they really believed in the new stuff and wanted to help me try
and re-record a bunch of it with my band in a proper studio... The
producer loved the record and wants to get involved, David Gray says we
can use his studio (!) and the band are all free to re-locate to london
after the tour to try and make a record that none of us have had the
chance to do before!!
Here you can check out his website and his upcoming UK tour dates.
Just let me add that I think this is a classy act by David!
