Some of you know I have been away at the Royal Cornwall Show at Wadebridge for 3 days looking after the Air Cadets who form the Main Arena team. We have a great but busy time and are all shattered at the end but they always want to do it again. I have done this for 4 of the last 5 years now. They are a great set of kids, both boys and girls from 13 to 18.

These were the cadets I was looking after. There were 30 altogether but some were not available as they were off around the show on some free time.

This was the morning of the 3rd and final day - and they are still smiling in the rain. The other days were hot and sunny and the sun came out again on the last day eventually.

Most of the work we did was to build , move, and take down the showjumping fences and put them back during the jumping. This me a good spot for pics and I will put more up later in the week.

    It was hard work Wink

    good position for some pics

One of my fav events is the hunt relay. Two teams of 4 take turns over parallel courses of country fences such as gates tables  water but the last fence is high beech hedge that the horses have to jump through and is shared by both teams. Sometimes they get to the fence together, but not very often. A lot of the time the horses skid to the fence as they refuse. On semi-final day one horse refused but the rider kept going through the fence lol it was funny - and i got a pic. This is my fav of the show.

There were some other animals there as well but not much time to get around to them much.

There were other events such as the RAF Falcons Free Fall display Team, the RAF Police Dogs, The Light Infantry Army Band Stunt Quad bike rider, Canonball man

I got some good vids of these and will get on my youtube site sometime in the next 6 months Tongue Tied Some pics will arrive here sooner.

If you can ever get to see one of these agricultural shows then go see. They are great fun especially for the kids. It can be expensive or not.

    Keep smiling - It's free!
