With David working on his next album and taking a break from touring there will be some oppportunities to go to other artists' gigs.

I will be going to a Nick Cave concert next month and see REM later in the year. Unfortunately Leonard Cohen cancelled his gig in my hometown. But Nick Cave should be good.

Whom are you going to see?

    Hi Rena

I am going to see Beth Rowley in Dartington Uni next Friday - only 1 hr away for a change lol

Amy Wadge at St Davids Hall Cardiff in May.

Edwina Hayes at the Watermarg Ivybridge in July - even less than an hour away!! almost local!!

KTTunstall at the Eden Project sessions in July. A Cornwall gig Surprise

I think that is it for now.

Doing other things as well of course - Royal Cornwall Show in June for 3 days. There will be some music there but I am supervising Air Cadets in the show ring moving equipment.

    Keep smiling - It's free!

Yesterday I've seen The Gutter Twins aka Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age) and Greg Dulli (Afghan Whigs, The Twilight Singers) What a great gig (but very loud)!

I'm excited to see Leonard Cohen in Amsterdam in July!

I'm thinking about some openair gigs with The B-52s and Iggy and The Stooges!

Also in the near future I want to see these artists:

Bonny Prince Billy aka Will Oldham, Cat Power, PJ Harvey, Vampire Weekend, The Gossip and my fave post punk band Wire!!!

    Smile

I would love to see the B52s, need to check ticketmaster etc. for dates.  I like Vampire Weekend too, after having been introduced to them by DG on that radio show he did.

I will be seeing some Cuban jazz musicians next month when I go there but thats about it for now. I might volunteer at two music festivals this summer so there will be lots of artists to see.

We are family, I got all my sistas with me..

Bon Jovi in June at Southampton Football Stadium,  southampton and James Blunt at the 02 in October.  So far this year I have seen James Blunt in January, David Gray February and March.  Hopefully when David's new album comes out, see David again another two-three times!  Not as many times as DJK but still.

Not got so much planned at the moment, but I am going to Rock in Park in Holland, with Counting Crows, Anouk, Gabriel Rios, Ben Folds, Live, Beth Hart and Lenny Kravitz. Should be good.

Might book a few more gigs, only so much time... Stick out tongue

    Marcel.

I have just learned that the Editors will be opening for REM. So I'd like to add them to my list Smile
