And Smellofit, I am so sorry that happened to you. But it does sound pretty funny. I would of laughed my bum off with you if I saw this happen before my own eyes. Sounds like something my clumsy but would do! Hope you heal up quickly.

By the way folks I just have to tell you: I do a 6 mile hike, pretty much every other day, but sometimes because of travel, I miss out. It is a hike on a mountain trail with the last bit on the mountainside. Well, this morning I was running the last 2 miles of it like I normally do, it's pretty well groomed there so, not a lot of rocks, etc. Well, I found the one rock on this part of the trail and went Falling Down The Mountainside, no sh*t. I had to laugh, face down in the dirt I AM LAUGHING MY ARSE OFF recalling my stupid little prose from DG.com. No I didn't see the Silver Lining of my skivvies, but my hands are lined with bandages now. This Gathering Dust stuff sucks.

Enjoy the laugh, I did. :o)

Haha! great list - Love's Old Song done painfully slow, I am rolling! It already does go on forever, I mean, it has more than one verse yeah? :o) I could eat a bullet after the first two songs truthfully - so I'd miss the beer, second and third bouts of depression and the wipe-your-eyes optimism of New Horizons.

(I hope DG knows we're kidding here, the man's a genius. How the world got this far without some of the melodies and guitar playing is beyond comprehension.)

Nah, I'm actually up for pretty much anything. David could probably make it sound awesome now. Or not. I'd rather hear some crappy song from the past a bit redone than something I've heard a hundred times.

What about this depressed, self loathing and miserable setlist:

- Wisdom (And the trees are looking like bones , And the afternoon's filled with storm and rain, I'm staring out of this metal train, Thinking of you )
- Brick Walls (I feel like the last hair on a head gone bald, no much point in being here, no no)

The audience is served a pint of beer to get in the mood for the extended head-full-of-beer mix that makes Nemesis pale in comparison:

- Sail Away (I've been falling in and out of baaaaaaaarssssssssssssss)
- Tired Of me (Everynight when I go out, Get drunk till I fall down, so tired now honey, so tired of me)
- It's All Over (Too much beer in my head , Another night is getting late , And I don't know where to go )
- Living Room (Last night's just a blur, through a head full of beer)

Just when you're about to reach that feelgood feeling, David brings out the tearjerkers and depresses everyone again:

- Coming Down (Empty arms that should be holding you close)
- Only the Lonely (Only the lonely, lonely could know me)
- Gutters Full of Rain (The sun even the air seems wasted)

And it gets even more depressing with these personal songs:

- The Other Side, of course without the band so you don't get to rock out to the end
- December (All my tears will dry away, Words don't bother me no more)
- Last Boat to America (There's nothing here to hold me now and I got no more tears to cry)
- Love's Old Song, done in a painful slow acoustic way which makes the song feel like it goes on forever
- What Are You?, dedicated to the A Moment single

Encore with a bit of optimism:
- Gathering Dust, because its' the most awesome song ever
- New Horizons, because it's a close second
- The Light!

I'd pay for that gig!!! Oh yeah, filll the gaps with some select songs from the new record.. :P I kinda forgot the theme half way too.. :p I guess Nightblindness, Lately etc could have fit right in there somehow !

Ha, thanks Jackie, I missed AK's "please DON'T play these" list. Hey, that could go to the Please Forgive Me melody: "Please Don't Play These, they just sound a bit deranged..."

Wonder what it is about Kangaroo we find so unworthy AK? I mean it's got all the right criteria: catchy melody, an environmental bent - he mentions leaches, kangaroo, kookaburra (a bird), floods, avalanches, burning bushes - happy stuff, you know? and other memorable lyrics like -

"Oh let it blow"

My thoughts exactly.
