like grantsi life also screwed with us and neither was able to be at a computer at the stroke of 10 so we too lost out.................
I must say i am also starting to develop some concerns around the pre-sales - while I certainly understand at the end of the day the venue controls what they give to the bb you would have to think we should get our fair share............i found rochester odd because both coty and I were each simulataneously locked out while there were only a small handful of folks registered here - how is that possible?
and then today - getting locked out of ga seats - at least in rochester you could buy the crap - it seems the allotments to the bb are indeed coming in small - or the brokers have figured out how to just hack in - I imagine that is the real problem
and trust me - these sentiments have been relayed to the powers at be
we continue to have high hopes for the fraze and the zoo as the pre-sales until now have been so awesome - fingers crossed
all this said i don't at all understand the hate for stubhub and never have - for one i am a firm believer in the free market system and feel that laws of supply and demand should dictate product pricing
and two if the brokers are gaining an unfair advantage then we absolutely should try to stop it - i have to think the band or the band's management have VERY little to do with this problem
stub hub is a clearing house - they aren't the enemy - they simply exist to facilitate buyer and seller - the sellers are those that have cheated their way to great seats and then take advantage of said free market system...................while I appreciate and empathize with the altruism the reality is the system exists as it does today.............and frankly while yes it is wrong that we have been shut out of the first pre-sales - we just move on and do what we may to make it a great tour for us............I competely don't get why someone who does buy tix at stubhib is by definition a blowhard.........that doesn't make any sense to me
my point to some extent is I feel that if we are getting on planes and staying at hotels and eating and driving then at the least we can is afford us great seats - and i realize we are very fortunate to be able to do that - on that note though the market clearing price appears to currently be around $100 for GA hob tix............so maybe 2x or 100 - 120 on top for two - still very expensive but trust me it can get a lot worse
just sayin
