Got our tickets too! Can't wait to see David at Meadowbrook again!  

Royal Park Hotel is beautiful. Enjoy it! If you can get driven in, do. Parking can be a little crazy. Try and leave early too.

Not sure if you attended the Meadowbrook Show in August 2010 and also stayed at the Royal Park, but it is a first class hotel with a cool hangout in the Commons and a fine restaurant across the hall. 

The Hotel is a short walk to the Rochester Mills Brewery and to the downtown area on Main Street, which has some good dining choices in Kruse & Muir (seafood) and the Rochester Chop House.

Rochester has a nice downtown that is a few blocks from the hotel.  And the venue is only a few miles from The Royal Park too. 

thank you sir - no this is actually our first venture to see DG in the mid-west in fact so am actually getting very excited about the idea! And am looking forward to the Royal Park - thanks for your recommendations!

mommieze, I would imagine we could arrange for a car from the Royal Park to the venue? Also, what is early in relation to when the concert starts? Should we get there when the ticket office opens, at 6 I believe? We're not familiar with the area at all. Thank you for your suggestions. Donna

DCA, It would be very nice to meet you in the Commons, and anyone else staying at the Royal Park before we head off to the concert. As a relatively new fan it would be fun to hear from you all about your travels and David Gray experiences. Donna

not too far from us - I think we are 201 and 202 row 2 - they are going to have to push me out of the aisle - good for dancing!

given this is the tour opener we should probably do it justice...........shining would be happy to meet up and relate some of our tales.........i guess there have been a few - and some familar old posters in mr nike and t-y-l - it would be great to have a crew get together at the royal park in advance of the show........not sure of an opener so we should just shoot for sometime 6pm-ish I guess

we are definitely going to arrange trransport back and forth from the hotel - if we get any critical mass we can arrange for a small bus or whathaveyou and then folks can just park at the hotel - all we would ask is for all to chip in for their pro rata share.............don't think it will be a problem at all though - the GM is already my bff lol!

What would be my chances of finding a decent single ticket, say, a month from now, do you think?  I'm still eyeing this show.  I'm lobbying for this to be my birthday present, but I still have a month to go before I'd know if I'm making it or not!  lol

singles though are always tough........may have to bite the bullet on a pair and then try to figure out selling the other ticket

Found out my seat assignments today. We will be orchestra  Row 4 seats 205 and 206. The excitement is definitely growing. Please count my brother and I in on any pre-show get together.  

 

Oh and hope you can make it ropreston. It will be so nice to meet some fellow DG fanatics!
