In my car on my cd player this morning.  I have never heard dg played on any radio station in any city I've ever been in.  I've traveled to every state in the U.S.  I've been to Canada, Mexico, and the Cayman Islands, and I have never heard him.  If I hadn't dated someone from GB about eight years ago I never would have known about him.  He was good for something at least LOL.

I hear him once in a while on the radio here and sometimes when I am in a store.  His music was played on a roof top in Havana Cuba earlier this year but that was because I took a cd with me.  They love the guitar there so he had a warm welcome. :)

I heard DG last night in a commercial for CSI. The main character (I never saw the show) has left, his final episode is this week and they were playing "As I'm Leaving" as the background music. This wasn't the studio version, however.

The radio in the Uk does my head in to be honest. Do we hear our man on the radio, like a hundred times a day as we do, let's say the winner of the 'X' Factor winner? Oh no!!

My husband Roy, my wonderful husband as I so often describe him as Big Smile, told me a while back that Chris Moyles, Radio One DJ, introduced 'This Year's Love' by saying, 'This is TYL, by the amazing David Gray'. So why am I whinging? Because he only played it to wind up his pregnant fellow DJ as this is one of her favourite songs and she was really weepy at the time. Does he play Dave's tracks any other time? Not that I notice, GRRRR!!!!

Having said that, Roy tells me that Radio 2 plays his tracks, new and old often. So Mr Chris Moyles, if you believe David Gray is amazing, play him more bloody often!!!!

Ok, that's my ranting done for tonight lol Stick out tongue

While walking through Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco.  My daughter looked at me and said "Did you hear it?".  She knows me so well.  I know she's a closet DG fan because I always catch her listening to him when she borrows my iPod.  Anyway, it was such a treat to be where I was and hear "Babylon" pouring out of a souvenir shop while strolling along the street.

Eileen, I know what you mean about "Friday, I'm In Love"!  Such a great song!  I too have watched it many times on YouTube.  To my knowledge there isn't a CD of live recordings which to me is damn near unthinkable given how brilliant DG is live.  Are you listening, David? :)

And the new album needs to be here...FASTER, SOONER, NOW!!!

Now on to YouTube to watch "Friday, I'm In Love"!

A few days ago I was a witness when high art met trash TV:

The fourth season of the german version of I'm A Celebrity - Get me out of Here ("Ich bin ein Star - holt mich hier raus!") - a reality TV jungle camp filmed in Australia - was as always a huge success in Germany! In it, so called celebrities live in jungle conditions with few comforts and have to earn human essentials.Trash tv at it's best!

The third person who was voted out was Giulia Siegel - a so called DJ, a drama queen and most hated by the voters. While she was leaving the jungle camp  David Gray's gorgeous voice was heard ... Meet me on the other side. Ill see you on the other side. See you on the other side...

    What a nice surprise!

Just listening to 'Dead In The Water' on the radio.

This one doesn't get played much, so this was a nice way to start into the day Smile

While at the drug store tonight, having just selected a lovely birthday card for my soon to be 18 year old son (you know the kind of card that brings on the tears), I heard some familiar piano notes and on came World To Me.  What are the odds I ask?  Anyway I danced down the aisle with card in hand singing along.  The people who review the security camera will certainly wonder about this, but who cares.

Anyway, that was a pretty neat time to hear DG.

While looking for a decent cup of coffee, I heard DG as I wandered the halls of the local mall. "You're the One I Love" was over the PA. Different version than the radio normally plays! I still couldn't find a good cup of joe, though.

Surprise What, Philly, no decent cup of coffee in a mall. Have they never heard of Starbuck's?

TOIL seems to be a song I hear most often when I'm out and about. And I love, love, love it when others

join in singing it along with me Wink
