 i went to Park City for the festival only to find out DG was playing there. my sisters are big fans - they (and their husbands) go as often as they can, but despite loving his music, i had never seen him live. so it was a dream unexpectedly come true to witness him not only once, but twice in such a small venue!

 certainly the highlight of my whole trip other than our film winning the audience award!

well now you are spoiled for life!!!

I was just emailing with marcel and rena today on these gigs - I have seen david solo several times but they were always the small PR gigs with say 3 - 6 songs - the big difference here is that this was THE gig - with a well thought out set list, encore etc

I am still fairly numb over all this and how incredibly lucky we are.....

so I have to ask - with such great seats did you guys grab any youtubes??!

and congrats on the award!

Thanks for posting DCA. Self indulge all you want if it's posting new DG songs . I have been waiting to hear this. Listened to the song 3 times now and each time a piece of it grows even more on me. Beautiful lyrics and piano. I hope with the whole band in Vegas we will hear new songs and get a taste of what the new album is going to sound like. But with this little teaser I think it's going to be like all of his work he throws his heart into....beautiful and amazing. xx

Thanks DCA for posting, just what I needed after a busy day... headphones on and glass of too expensive Italian wine... I know that sitting backstage on a sofa might be Snelly style.... well this slightly different here behind my PC but enjoying it so much.... the pictures are great too, looks like a nice family break... Good to see Alex enjoy his ski-ing too, at least there was something for everyone !

It would be too much maybe for these kind of tracks to be played in Vegas, it will be more a greatest hits thing but we might have a little surprise....

I totally agree with you on this one - vegas will definitely be greatest hits but yeah I still have my odds on a certain new song! 

anywhere to see/hear Snowing in Vegas? that song immediately hit me so beautifully hard in park city but hasn't seemed to pop up anywhere yet...

absolutely - not sure if you trudged through this whole thread but that definitely ended up as the favorite for both maria (coty) and I! And have to think we get it at the cosmo??!!

 

i didn't grab any video - they asked us not to and i had already used big friend's names at ascap to get in, and it was ascap's thing after all, so i played by the rules...

 so wish i had captured Snowing in Vegas, although i wouldn't want to change anything about the experiencing of hearing it unencumbered...

absotutely!! And I was half kidding!! (and half hoping.......lol)

yes we heard the same - and similarly for us it was loretta who ran the whole thing who put us on the sofa so it would have been pretty poor form!

it is very difficult for us to take vids because we both are so into the moment and it pretty much gets right in the middle of the experience we both feel.........but yeah on the other hand we also would like some long standing memory in the form of something we can turn to through time - ah well

Btw loved the "chance encouter" you had with Dave... I'm sure you know what would of happened had it been myself in your shoes haha

Interested to hear what the new material will sound like once its all polished off with the band!

this whole gig should be interesting given the prior lost and found tour - the set list while sure greatest hits could give a hint as to where things are headed

awesome find!! love it - i think it shows how on top of his creative game he was at sundance - I can't think of a more intense recent interview!!

loved many of the comments but just a few on "new butterfly" and all that around re-discovering the "electric sound" now that the "acoustic" has been played - what I have been hoping for! although the first three out of the box are more acoustic...................oy!
