Today has been a tough day

    Sometimes it comes pouring in................

    • we lost a brilliant teacher today to cancer who left behind a wonderful 5 year old boy
    • friends all around us face personal tragedy
    • somalia is an ever increasing travesity - an injustice to humanity
    • london is a blaze - and the indescriminates appear to have an upper hand
    • the world economy is in collapse and there do not appear to be any answers at hand
    • our political infrastructure is a joke and in shambles

We don't need any more pointy fingers - we need collective love

please encourage those around you to recognize the perils we face and to encourage an approach based in community in love in togetherness to overcome the situation we have all put ourselves in

sorry for this but just feel too strong to not serve it up

I am going to share this on Facebook, DCA. Thank you.

    *It won't let me, though.*

Thank you DCA.  Life is too short so you might as well leave behind something good.

ps Hope all is well with those around the Church studios.

I have been out of touch. Traveling with my Zak. Teaching him all the beauty there in our country. Zion Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and the Grand Canyon. The beauty we all take for granted. The need to conserve, recycle, and reuse is all around us. Today I have a hookup with the internet. I can turn on the news on the TV in our hotel room. And it is so strange to me the feeling like I have been gone for a month, not just a week or more. Dca, your words are so true and amazing. They have touched my core. Thank you for being part of this DG site, and for sharing yourself with us. So many of my friends here, I have so treasured our time here. I hope not to be gone so much, but I have to say that sometimes being away is the best way to see what is really going on in our lives, and our world. Take care dear friends, you know who you are, I love you all like peanut butter and jelly  :)  Cheers and hugs ~ E

as is usually the case time seems to help in some respects - thankfully London at least seems to be simmering down

Also have been off for a bit without internet access taking care of relatives who all became ill at once. Considering that they are all in their late 80's or early 90's, this isn't a surprise.

The world is a mess, as dca so aptly described. However, having just spent 2 weeks listening to my family's stories about the Depression, WWII, the Korean War, as well as personal events - it is clear to me that it is our friends and family that are most important in surviving bad times.

So here's to my cyberfriends who help to keep me sane, even when times are very tough. Thanks to all of you...

Same here. With getting all of the kids settled back into to school, it's seems I haven't a minute extra to just sit down and already almost four weeks have flown by.  I'm glad I took a minute to check in. Thanks everyone, especially DCA. Sometimes it's nice to live in your own little world but sooner or later you need to venture out and get a new perspective.
