David Gray

Does anyone know how I can get a hold of the Omaha, NE show that was on July 11, 2011? Was it recorded and, if so, is it available for purchase or download anywhere? Thank you.                                                   

I'm pretty sure the only shows from the second leg that were taped was the Kansas show a day before (it's on dimeadozen) and the DMB caravan shows (on archive, etree etc) which aren't your regular Lost & Found gigs. So if it was recorded it's not up on the usual places.

The professionally recorded Dublin show (10 songs) was available for purchase a few days ago, I'm not sure if it's still up. There's a link on the news page, I think. There's been talk about a proper live release later.

The Beacon Theatre tape by Scott Brown is still probably the best un-official recording out there, but it's pretty early from the tour (http://www.archive.org/details/dgray2011-02-23.dpa4023.flac16)

What I'm really looking for is something he said between songs.  He was talking about how meaningful music was when we are young...outlook on music in general, etc.

I know what you're talking about but can't remember exactly what he said.  He said so many things that night, it's hard to remember it all!  There are quite a few videos on youtube, but I haven't seen that in any of them, but I haven't watched them all.  If I had it to do over again, I would have started recording at the end of each song and stopped at the beginning of the next to record everything he said that night.  I'm still randomly laughing at things I'll suddenly remember about that night!

as mentioned above, there are a few videos on YouTube, but I haven't seen anything else appear.  If someone should come across something from that night, I beg of you to share!  This was the first chance I ever had to see David, and to find a recording of it would make my year...for many years to come!   After that show I realized there was no turning back - I had become a David Gray fan for life!
