David Gray

My mom and I have taken trips to Austin and to Nashville to see David, and I have personally spent hours outside of the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville trying to get a chance to say a simple "hi". All of this good, hard work, but to no avail. I am 16 years old and am truly inspired every time I see DG perform, and every time I listen to his music. I reeeaaallllyyyy want to know what I have to do to meet DG at the upcoming show at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. I would do close to anything (i.e. showing up hours early, etc.) to be graced by his presence. I don’t know if I need to get backstage passes, or how that entire thing works, all I know is that to meet David Gray would be a literal dream come true.

The Bridgestone was a bust for everyone after the show. Your best bet is to just wait around out back by the buses. That's what the girls and I plan on doing after the show at the Opry. We'll see you there!

I'll try all I can at that show, he's my musical idol right now, and meeting him, I would have a hard time saying hello, but it would be incredible. 

Hi, Elijah. I know you will probably be a bit nervous (I think most of us were, first time), but being respectful and polite will win the day. In turn, David will put you more at ease with his gracious and affable manner. Stick close to Tina, Eileen and Kari (earplugs may be helpful to drown out the whoo-hoos), they will be tremendous guides. Enjoy, and don't get too nervous, he's a guy just like us.
