Rena, I have never waited after a show either... but mainly because the person I was going to the concert with didn't want to, LOL! I hope my daughter won't mind. I would love to meet David, just to say "thank you". Even if that sounds totally inadequate. There are just no words to express what I mean. But other fans will understand that.

Lowland, I know exactly what you mean. It simply is not possible to tell him in those few seconds what his music means to us. And even if there was more time - just like you have said - there are no words. But I am sure that not only other fans understand but that David does too.

It was great. David and Robbie and Neill doing a semi acoustic gig. Very special. I wrote a full review last night but my iphone would not post it so it was lost. i will see what happens with this one here and then try again if it works...

Alright so here we go. Sorry no paragraphs from an iPhone. David, Robbie and Neill were in the best of spirits so last night was a lot of fun. Da id even did the moon dance - on a cows fur! This was a great performance and we were priveledged to hear the songs in what i would describe as bare bones versions. Nemesis in yet another amazing version. This time with a long instrumental part in the end. Utterly beautiful new arrangement and a few lovely Lou Reed lines added as well. He played The Old Chair!!! Finally. He said tbis wouldn't be a crowd pleaser but this certainly pleased a lot of people. I have waited so long to hear this one live. Marcel and I even talked about how this was the song we were hoping to hear. Very happy about that. You Are World To Me finally returned to it's original version. David playing it solo on the grand piano. Excellent. Such a beautiful melody being played on the piano. All songs were special last night and i can't do them all justice. Great renditions indeed. Neill's guitar was amazing, so was Robbie's bass and David once more blew the audience away. I can't wait for next time.

Forgot to say that while we were sitting outside the tent and listening in to the soundcheck (sorry David but we could not resist) we were treated with three songs that weren't played at the actual gig. Jackdaw, Hold On and From Here You Can Almost See The Sea. Very nice!

Must have been fantastic for you. I'm sure it will be one of those memories that will always be with you. Thanks for sharing it with us. Just wondering how big was the crowd? Did it feel like they were performing just for you?
