Hi folks,
I'm quite sure that almost everyone has a few favourite songs you would really love to hear from David Gray cause we all know that he transforms every song he interprets into something great new. So please let me start with my list:
What's yours?
Danny's Song -- Loggins and Messina
Into the Mystic -- Van Morrison
1. Without you - Neilson.
2. You've got a friend - Best version sung by James Taylor but written by Carole King.
I would love to hear David sing;
1. Broken stones - Paul Weller
2. Suspicious minds - Elvis Presley
and this one would be great fun;
Come on eileen by Dexy's midnight runners.
I was thinking of you Eileen when reading that post.
My choice is 'Zum Meer' by Herbert Groenemeyer. An intelligent sequal to 'The Other Side'.
If its the song I think it is Eileen, it is indeed worth finding. Rena introduced me and DJK to Herbie while on our travels in Scotland and England last November.
I think a child's lullaby would be amazing. Have you listened to his own song Lullaby? David's voice is so unique, I don't think I would have noticed him otherwise.
I would like to hear him sing Jealous Guy (John Lennon) or No Surrender (Bruce Springsteen).
How wonderful to be able to travel around Scotland and England. I was in Inskip last March. Wish I had been active on this site then. I went to Liverpool, did the Beattle museum, and the Tate. Great time. I would have loved to meet all of you folks.
I have not heard David's Lullaby. Where would I find it?
Hi All,
I'd love to hear him do 'Brown Eyed Girl' by Van Morrisson! That's a really upbeat song anyway, but I think David would really add that extra buzz. Especially live! I think his band would more than do it justice. I bet it would be really fun to perform. The crowd would be jumping! :)

You are perfectly right Dave. He has indeed. At the NIA Birmingham June 21, 2006.
And he certainly added that 'extra buzz' you mentioned Linz.
