sky arts recently announced the "Songbook" series featuring the likes of David Gray, Phil Collins, Mick Hucknell, Squeeze – Chris Difford & Glenn Tilbrook, Fran Healey(Travis), Hugh Cornwell (Stranglers), Ian McCulloch (Echo and the Bunnymen), Gary Kemp(Spandau Balett). Songbook is an 8 x 60-minute HD production "that will feature an eclectic mix of musicians who have achieved major success as a result of their songwriting". The series will be presented by music journalist and author of Guitar Man and Song Man Will Hodgkinson, who will interview each artist in either a recording studio or his home. David Gray's Songbook broadcast time: 5. June 8pm! He will discuss his musical inspiration and writing processes before giving an intimate, acoustic performance of four of his songs. At his Church Studio David Gray performed these songs unplugged:

The new episodes will be shown on Channel 4 late every Saturday from June 28th and will feature performances as well as interviews with musicians at the legendary London's Abbey Road Studios over the course of 12 one-hour shows.
