Yipee, i can't wait, i've got a long weekend off work, i will have to work a little more next week but not thinking about that at the moment.

I'm going shopping Saturday, going out for the day Sunday to Scarbrough or Whitby and then painting my fence and gates on Monday, those fiddly iron ones.

So fingers crossed its not raining.

Has anyone else got plans for the weekend?

    Smile

Hi Elysium, for a minute I thought you were in Toronto with place names like Scarborough and Whitby.  Have a really good weekend

I am hoping to rest a bit and do some work in the back garden.  I will probably end up at work for a while but I am off to Cuba in a few weeks so it worth burning the late evening oil until then.

    Have fun.Party!!!

    Thanks Bluewater.

Hope you have fun and not work too hard.

Yes Scarbrough and Whitby are great, i didn't realise that there are towns in Canada too, i did say to Djk that if you and Rena are near and have a spare day on a tour that he should take you both to Whitby for a visit, its a wonderful little town on the north Yorkshire coast with the most beatiful harbour and famous for its delicious fish and chips. Scarborough although nice is a lot more commercial. My son goes to uni in Scarborough so lives there most of the year.

Enjoy Cuba, will look forward to hearing all about it.

    Enjoy your weekend.

I have already mentioned Whitby to Rena. I told her about the fish and chip shop next to the pier at the bottom of the Kyber Pass - if it is still there. Best place for fish and chips ever.

We used to go to Whitby for the day regularly when we lived in Rotherham - it was a 110 mile trip there and well worth it.

I will certainly go there again if I am ever near whether it is on my own or with friends ;)

I'm sorry to hear you have toothache. But I've have a (silly?) question: why can't you get any emergency treatment?

    Hi Elysium,

i envy you completely. In Germany We had a bank holiday at Thursday and many people didn´t work on Friday. Exepting me Sad

I´ll spend my weekend (or most of it) at my riding club. We´ll need to prepare a couple of things for the
spring season. Hart work but in the afternoon we´ll have a barbecue. Maybe it wouldn´t be so hart for me if i wasn´t at that birthday party at Friday evening and slept only 3 hours Sleep

To all of you - a sunny weekend Big Smile

I will be glad to see the back of this week.  Tuesday afternoon my daughter and I drove to our local shopping centre and was hit head-on by a lady coming out the wrong way of our local petrol station and wrote off my car.  I was shocked and so was my daughter.  We were both ok and hugging each other.  It just makes you realise that life is very short and can be cut-off at any time.  So yes I am happy that the weekend is here.....

First of all I am glad to hear you and your sister are alright babylon1968!

And sorry to hear about your toothache Djk.

I'd certainly like to see this Whitby one day. It seems to be a real nice place. Barbeque doesn't sound bad either Londonstorm so I think I should be doing that in the afternoon. After a good long walk through the nearby woods.I went to a hen party last night so I could do with a little quiet and some nature today.

So enjoy the weekend everybody Smile

Glad to hear your both ok babylon1968, must have been a terrible shock, i see some dreadful standards of driving every day.

Hope you're okay Djk and the toothache eases off. I will visit Whitby with you one day.

Rena check out Wikepedia on Whitby its a wonderful place. Hope you've not got a sore head today.

Hope you enjoyed your Bbq londonstorm, the weather here is not quite warm enough yet for bbq's.

My weekend is a little busier than planned, i'm looking after my 7 month old nephew Christopher( nicknamed twisterpher) overnight, he's adorable, i totally forgot how much hard work babies are, i suppose i will get plenty of practice when my grandson arrives in september. Becca has been a great help she nursed him to sleep then fell asleep herself.

    Have a good weekend everyone.Smile

I looked it p on wikipedia and it seems to be a real nice place. Actually it looks remarkably like a lovely small town DJK and I passed on a train in Feb/March when travelling to a DG gig. I suppose it wasn't it though.

Have a nice Sunday everybody Smile

Great picture Rena thanks for posting, Djk should remember the name of that town, would be interesting to know, i bet there are some beautiful seaside towns and villages in his part of the country, a part of the country that i've never visited, one day i will.

We ended up not staying in Whitby and travelling to Scarbrough, have had a wonderful day but i'm totally shattered.

    Smile
