hi wonder if anyone can help ,

was at the manchester gig on thursday and afterwards while leaving i decided to buy a couple of souveniers , i asked for the gig programme and the live concert cd , guy put the stuff in a bag then handed me a 'free poster' with the oringinal tour dates on it .  thats £20 he says   which i duly handed over thinking wow thats expensive  but hey its a souvenier ,now in the taxi back to the hotel i checked the items out and found that the gig programme was a tour book dated 2005-2006 ,and the live cd  was live covers from 2001-2007 Tongue Tied

this surely cant be right ,i appreciate i really should have checked them there and then but it was extremely busy and the general high after the concert i genuinley never gave it a thought

would also like to know are these people employed by the venue or david gray

    Hi franscott,

sorry to hear you expected something else from your purchases. But let me assure you the tour programme is a rare out of stock item you won't be able to buy anywhere else. Besides it comes with a dvd with David performing a few songs from the Life In Slow Motion songs in his very own Church Studios and him talking about the songs inbetween.

I don't know about Manchester but at the 4 gigs before there were DIN A 4 notices saying that it was the 2005-2006 tour programme.

The album is the magnificient 'A Thousand Miles Behind' that can only be bought on this website and at gigs sometimes. Have you listened to it yet?

Have a closer look, maybe you won't be that disappointed after all.

    Hi Franscott,

no there weren't any tourbooks for the current tour; neither now nor at the first leg of the tour in November/December. I think selling the one you've got hold of was meant as a special treat to the fans. There was a thread on here recently with people saying they wish they'd still be on sale.

Sorry, but I have no knowledge wether the people at the merchandise stall  are employed by the venues or are part of the tour.

I'd be interested to hear your opinion on the dvd from the tour programme and the 'A Thousand miles Behind' album. Smile

    I hope you'll enjoy those.

I'd also be interested in purchasing that tour program with the DVD.  I'm the one who posted the question about it a few months ago as I'm still looking for it.

    Thanks!
