    Hi Chris,

That thread was deleted because both links contained copywritten material. Live recordings are ok but music that has been released and sold in stores is not.

    Chris,

you won't find any artist's website where you will be allowed to post copyright protected material whatsoever.

David Gray is extremely liberal regarding live recordings though. He allows fans to share those as long as there is no money involved, the majority of other artists don't. So please respect David Gray's copyrights regarding officially released material.  And other bands' copyrights that got affected in your post that was deleted.

As for the tracks on the front page; this is David's own website after all and it is his decision if he wants to share one or some of his songs.

Did this person have Bruce Springsteens permission to reproduce his copyrighted lyrics??

If not could you please delete it?

Here is a download rule from the KT Tunstall site.

    Downloads

If you want to share a recording on the forum, that is fine as long as it is not available to purchase from normal retail sources in Europe or North America. Anything that is available MUST NOT under any circumstances be posted on the forum or requested by PM.

By sticking to this we haven't had any problems from KT, her management, or record label.

Should we start sharing 'available' recordings it is likely to result in official intervention that may mean that we are not allowed any downloads at all.

This is about recorded music not written lyrics. it appears from looking around that text appears to be treated different and is widely available on many sites.

    Keep smiling - It's free!
