I think it's a matter of taste. In my opinion David Gray sounds better than ever - that means David and the whole band sounds rejuvenate and much more powerful than ever and Keith is obviously an important part of DG's new band!

    Hi

Do not want to rubbish anyone's comments on here as everyone has their own opinion - after all this world would be a boring place if everyone was the same or liked the same things eh? Some people even like Gareth Gates!!! Stick out tongue

I loved seeing Clune and noticed the interaction with DG on the stage. I have met him at gigs and away from gigs and I think he is a great drummer and a smashing person as well. He obviously had a lot of influence and input with DG and his music, but DG has always had the last say in what comes out.

The only person whose opinion matters is Mr Grays. He knows what he wants to do and which direction he wants to be heading in. I was as shocked as anyone else when the letter from DG was posted about Clune leaving. If they had interviews for the new band then Kieth must have put up a damn good performance and this is continuing. I think DG used the phrase fading out when being asked about band changes in an interview last year.

I have been loving the recent tour. There seems to be so much energy and passion coming from DG and the band on stage. Everyone seems to be getting on well and obviously enjoying their time on stage.

My fav song is PFM since I first heard it in a pre buy listen in the record shop in 2002. What they do with this on stage is amazing and fantastic to me and Kieth's drumming is adding to this experience.

I go to the gigs to see and hear David Gray and whoever he wants to be up there with him is fine with me.

    Keep smiling - It's free!

    Great post Djk, well said.

I too go to the gigs to see David and I must agree with you Djk that Dg and the band seem much more passionate on the recent tour.

Keith is a great drummer and quite eyecatching tooSmile

Clune was great with the band and I was surprised and sad to see him go. I've met him a few times and he always enjoyed chatting to fans;he's a great guy.

    Give the guy the credit he deserves, he was not only the drummer in the crazy shirts, he co wrote the following songs;

    My Oh My

    We're Not Right

    Whiteladder

    Real Love

    Be Mine

    The One I Love

    Lately

    Nos Da Cariad

    Slow Motion.

    Smile

Deep, deep sigh of envy. I sit here dreaming of the day that DG graces our shores again. While you fortunates have ample opportunity to see him, we pine away the hours obsessively jealous of you Our day will be here soon, though.
Remember- your soul is the one thing you can't compromise

Woe is me. I admit I am very late to be just learning that Clune is no longer with DGB, but I must say I am gutted!!! I cannot comment on the new drummer Dave has chosen to replace Clune with, but Clune was a such a big part of my experience. Not only live, but studio work, too. His rolling rhythm so often said as much as David's amazing lyrics, a hand in hand moment. I am so sad. I would love to see this new man Keith in action, but have not yet had the opportunity. Does anyone know what Clune is up to?
