Hi, I went into my profile to update some info and noticed that there wasn't an area to write our hobbies, interests, likes, dislikes,etc...in. I look to read about people I'm threading with to see what they have to say about themselves. I think we need an area to share that kind of info if we want to.

    Thanks:)

    Hi Mac,

There is an option to add your interests and a little bio about yourself in the profile section. I see you've found that and are using it already, thats great!

To view someones profile you can click on thier name and details that they have chosen to share with others are available there.

Thanks Kendall:) I was going into profile first. Now I know. Thanks for the help:) Thanks soooo much Caron. That's so nice of you to say:) That VERY Rough Demo was something that I put up when I first got myspace started on my behalf. It lacks Cindy's Harmony and the old guitar I used buzzed on the bass string but it gets the idea across..I hope:) Once we move into our new house and I set up my music room I have to put some live versions of my songs on there as well as record a proper studio album. Let's see...I've been singing all my life here and there but consistantly/professionally for about 10-13 years. I use to sing with a piano player but once he quite I learned guitar from a friend who taught me song by song("Well...What song do you want to learn?") so I jumped a bunch of levels at a time(I can't read sheet music but I can figure out songs by ear...I still don't know how I can do that:). I was playing solo for a few years when I met my wife who has perfect harmony(wait until I can post more songs to see what I mean:) and our voices just matched perfectly. As a side note. I introduced her to David's music and now it's one of her favs if not her top fav. We've been doing pretty well in the area and would love to get a record contract but we can't go to LA or NY to look for one. Hopefully someone will hear about us and come looking:) We're not hard to get a hold of:) Don't you just adore KT? I am so thrilled with her. Not just as a musician but as a wonderful person. I hope to see/meet her sometime. My wife, Cindy, and I have said that she seems like someone who we'd just naturally get along with. I have dreamed of her and David teaming up since I think they'd ber great together vocally, etc and now that they know each other and have performed at the same show it's only a matter of time before they sing/collaborate together...I hope and prey:) Thanks so much for the wonderful compliment and feel free to write anytime:) If you have a myspace page make me a "friend":) Mac

    Hi Mac,

Haven't a myspace page as yet but yes what a good idea it is.Will create one soon.

Well if that was a very rough demo then i can't wait for a good one, will look forward to hearing yourself and Cindy sing together. You obviously are both natural musicians ,especially if you play by ear. I'm so envious, i'm tone deaf so i have to make do with just listening!LOL!  There is something special to me in hearing male/female voices together ,i love the contrast/harmonies ,such as Willy Mason & KT with "We can be strong, Damien Rice &Lisa Hannigan , Manic Street Preachers &Nina Perrson with "your love alone..." ,Snow Patrol & Martha Wainwright with "Set the fire to the third bar" and  just recently have discovered Alison Krauss & Robert Plant with their album "Raising sand" which is wonderful. I wish you and Cindy the very best of luck with your musical career.

Yes KT  is someone who you know you could be good friends with such a lovely ,warm and humourous girl, her songs are amazing, just love "funny man" and "Paper areoplane" . I would also love to see her sing with DG, but will just have to make do with them seperate for now. I'm seeing DG on the 6th &10th march and KT on 15th april. My youngest son ( 15) is also coming 'in fact he bought me the KT tickets for Xmas. What a boy! Was intially disapointed last time we saw KT in that Willy Mason had cancelled as support act, he's brilliant, but King Creosote stepped in and we thought he was very entertaining ,KT was his backing singer when she was a young girl up in Fife ,Scotland. Have a listen  on YouTube if you havn't heard him yet.

    Smile

Hey Caron, Thanks for enjoying that demo and if you ever need any help on your future myspace page just ask. I'd be happy to help. I instantly love anything with harmony and acustic guitar. I pride myself on getting MP3s of any KT and David songs I can find but I don't think I know of "We can be Strong". Do you know where I can find it? I need to search for the you tube videos of many of those suggestions you mentioned but I already knew of "Raising Sand" because I adore Alison Krauss and get all her stuff. It's excellent isn't it? I'm so glad it's winning awards and getting a lot of play. I've found new respect for Robert Plant as well. Their voices are so hounting and yet powerful and controled. Speaking of new CD's: 2 of my other female favs are comming out with new albums that I just ordered, Sheryl Crow and Edie Brickell (with her stepson,Harper Simon, under the name The Heavy Circles). I can't wait to get them. You're so lucky to see KT and David so often. I've only seen David once in 05 and have yet to see KT. My fav songs from her new album are "Funny Man", "Helpless" and "Hold On" just to name a few though I really love all her stuff. I'd go on and on with suggestions of singers to check out but you'll get the idea from our website under "Influences". Let me know though if you do want specific songs to check out ok? Thanks again for all you kind words. You've really made my day. :) Mac

    Hi mac,

Here is the video for WM and KT, unfortunatley KT doesn't actually appear in the video.

The album version of "we can be strong" does not feature KT but i believe a Rosesanne Cash. The album is called "if the ocean gets rough".

The following artists King Creosote and Stephen Fretwell have both supported KT.Sound quality doesn't do them justice

Where did you see David, was it in the US ?

Great videos. Thanks so much. I may need to invest in that WM album but why in Gods green earth wouldn't they make the KT version available to buy? Unbelieveable! Dispite his voice sounding like it's at the wrong speed:) I really enjoyed what I heard. So thats King Creosote is huh? I had wondered. I really liked the style of his stuff. I'll have to check out more songs and see if they are consistant. Then I may have to buy their stuff. Thanks so much for expanding my horizens:) If after you see our list of influences and would like some great videos sent your way just let me know. I know of some great ones:) We saw David in Philly @ Tower Theater right after LISM came out. We got great seats and he smiled and nodded at me a couple of times because I was really into listening to the words and moved by his emotion. I just focused straight ahead and swayed as I mouthed the words. People around me were talking and/or being typcal "concert excited". He seemed to get a kick out of the fact that I "got it" so he kept acknowleging me. Cindy and I promised each other that whenever he gets that close again we will go and try to get seats as great as then. We hope to meet him next time:) Mac
