Found this lovely live cover of Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah" sung by Kathryn and Neill at the Sundae Festival Leicester in August this year:

Was just wondering if any other David Gray fans have listened to Neill MacColls album he did with Kathryn Williams. It is called TWO and is really wonderful if you like folk music. I had never really listened to folk music until I came acros this CD and absolutely fell in love with it. It opened my eyes to a new style of music I never knew, liked or really listened to.  If you havent listened to it before you should check it out. It's no David Gray... a bit of a different sound but is a very beautiful piece of work.

    Hi Kari,

I have found an old thread about Neill's album for you and joined your post with it. There are some enthusiastic press reviews above and links to a few videos..

Did you know that Neill and Kathryn supported David on a few dates in the UK during his Greatest Hits tour in spring 2008? I remember seeing them at the Birmingham Symphony Hall and the London Hammersmith.

to Kari and everyone else interested in Neill's projects apart from David Gray - here is an excerpt from a newsletter Kathryn Williams sent out earlier this week:

I've got some records coming out soon, a band called 'The ish inventors', my next solo record, my record with Neill Maccoll, (if he ever gets off tour with David Gray ...haha) I'm going to get a load of rareties and unheard music together and I'm even thinking of another covers record.

HEHEHE Rena you are to cute. You know how much I luvs you and this post lol. I did hear about the new album that is coming out . As well as Neill said he has a solo album he is working on hopefully done by the end of the year. Now that is something I have been waiting for a very very very long time for. I can not wait to hear what he has put together and I know it will be most beautiful. Also Boo and Neil are putting their band The Bible back together for a show which should be great!!

    The Bible

Formed in 1986 in Cambridge by singer/songwriter Boo Hewerdine, the band won critical acclaim for their debut mini-album 'Walking the Ghost Back Home' and singles 'Graceland' and 'Mahalia' on the independant label Backs. Following the release of second album 'Eureka', Hewerdine left to pursue solo projects in '89. The band reformed briefly in '94 for a tour and the release of the 'Dreamlife' EP, and have reformed again in 2011 for their 25th anniversary.

This is one I dont want to miss but we will see. I would also love to see Kathry and Neill together as well.

So many shows I want to see but so little time...or should I say vacation from work xxx
