What in the world are you guys thinking about this contest, open only to the presale ticket purchasers? How about all the fans who sat on line for an hour to get 0 tickets? And the scalpers get to enter the contest? I love this site and will always like DG music, but this has got to be the most ill-advised bunch of hooey I have seen in ages. Kendall or Shop, you really need to fix this.

Hi Bluewater! You are right! It's really annoying! That's why I think you should get at least some wild cards for the Toronto sound check !!!

Hey Nevermind. What really bothers me is the fact that so many people who really like DG devoted time out of their busy day during that presale for 0 and now get another kick in the pants. Sure it would be nice to go to a soundcheck but I will probably be otherwise occupied at the time of the one in T.O. I have had some neat experiences already this year and hopefully more to come for which I am and will be thankful. Several people who actually support this site got nada due to the way the presale was run. Now they don't even qualify for the contest but a scalper or rare user to the site can? The message we are getting ifrom whoever is running the presale/contest is "We don't give a flying f if you support this wesite, buy the stuff, circulate the DG info, you will be treated like c when it comes times to recognize your support". Not a nice way to conduct busineess whoever you are hiding back there (and I know its not you Rena).

I totally get your point Bluewater. And you know I am the first one to be sorry about the fact that not all of our regulars were able to buy tickets during the presale. I think those who came up with the idea of linking the contest to the presale meant well and did not even get the idea they might offend anybody. This way the chance of winning gets remarkebly higher for those participating. The fact that another purchase has to be made before one is qualified to enter the competition should be sufficient to keep the scalpers/touts out of it. I hope at the next presale all regulars will be able to purchase the tickets they want. - Rena

So the people that were lucky enough to get presale tickets are lucky enough to enter a contest just for them? Oh well, I guess since I still haven't received my copy of the '1000 miles behind' cd, I probably wouldn't order the greatest hits cd anyway...

Yes Bluewater, I am equally annoyed. What a load of bull that is. Pre sale only. Even if I had managed to purchase the tickets that I spent 50 odd minutes aggressively trying to get, I would feel awful for the rest of the fans not having the chance. To make matters worse, the tickets I managed on ticketmaster were not the greatest....gallery (so 2 levels above floor). I checked it out later, and saw that floor were still available. How maddening is that?! I went on right at time of sale and best available was gallery. It took me a few days of stewing to contact ticketmaster to complain. They cancelled my tickets and asked me to go online to rebuy the floor ones, only when I did that, they were gone. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck. So, rather than take the gallery seats back, I decided to "feed the scalpers" (the fcukers, I hate scalpers!) and secured 10th row on the floor. I didn't pay too much over the top though. My total bill with ticketmaster (with fees for this and that) was 147, and from the scalper I got them for 230. And next thing you know you'll see soundcheck passes up on ebay. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. This whole experience has been the pits. And now this contest to "pre sale only" has just infuriated me moreso. I'd better win that prize for buying the bundle CD package. lol

Yes...I think it is unfair to not offer the contest to anyone from the BB or fans of David. If the promoters are trying to promote the CD's, then offer it to anyone who purchases it, not just the people who were fortunate enough to score some tickets for the presale. Even though I am not a "frequent visitor" to the BB, I am a huge fan of David's - why does that not make you feel that I should not be "allowed" to enter the contest? Why should it not be open to any fans of Davids? I know for a fact there are many other fans out there that do not post on this BB, but frequent it and the website just to find out what is going on with David and his music. Why shouldn't they enter the contest? I also have a question: What would happen if a scalper entered the contest.....won, and then scalped the passes for the soundcheck? Is there something in place to prevent that from happening?

Gosh katiemay that must have been frustrating. We are all over the place in groups at the gig. But if you look up front row centre balcony you will catch a few of us. Others are disbursed on the floor 12 rows back and almost at the back door and some up in the front row of the gallery. Are you going down early for a preshow beverage? Send me a pm. Good luck with the contest boombaby, I suppose it was your lucky day on the presale. If you didn't get tickets and sat for an hour you would have been equally as the not so lucky.

bluewater, yes, I do consider myself extremely lucky!!!! I managed to grab a couple of tickets as soon as they went on sale. I was then trying to help katie get some too-for over an hour. Had I known it was going to be such a hassle getting tickets, I would have grabbed some for her right away. I had taken time off work just to do this too...so I ended up not getting paid for my time as well.

Boom, I cant wait to see you and Mr. Boom again. Im also excited for katiemay who missed a few shows when she had her little guy , all the shoit and frustration you have been through this time round......it better be a good show too! Bluewater???? Are you going???? OMG! Cool! Cant wait to stalk with ya again! :) I for one am so turned off by the super bs that surrounds this new BB now. The site is the site and yes life changes and things change...but this isnt for the better, this have gotten poor. Im not even going to beging to explain my ticket headaches, because it is going to give me another one. All in all, this whole experience so far has not been anything like the 5 previous shows Ive been to. Getting tickets was fun and exciting, I even won a pair once through this site from a contest(I had already bought mine so gave them to someone I ended up turning into a Grayhead!) and I didnt even have to buy anything. We were able to get tickets with ease before, this time.......no presales for me.......got tickets from ticketbastard on the floor.....Row R like 1 minute after they went on sale......when I checked back an hour later there were better seats then the ones I got. Anywho, I might not even be able to go after all this, so might have to sell them to someone at face of course!

Hey Kris, yes I'm going with the office staff, dear old Dad, my man and a few other friends. Would be great to meet up for a beer before hand. I still think back to listening through the door at the Rogers Centre with you to the soundcheck in MO-REAL, what a riot. Is Ricardo going? And there shall be no stalking my dear, behave yourself! We have a couple in row R as well, I agree with you that this was really the only time I have been so frustrated with the ticket purchase. I was pretty lucky with Montreal and Ottawa in summer 2006 but got those through TM fair and square. When will you know whether you are goin?

It sure was nice of her! We were all on facebook, frantically messaging back and forth! What a high stress hour that was! lol The best part is that we do all have tickets, however we got them, and we get to enjoy another meet up and a predictably great show.

You are right Katie however the Fan Liberation Front (FLF) of the Rainbow Brigade will be mounting a protest about the presale policies.
