There are ways to get around the broker's logging on to get tickets. The problem lies with those who control the pre-sale. If they cared enough to do their jobs correctly or care about anything other than their already high prices, they would take the measures. As for this site, you could use a system that monitors log ins, email addresses, posts, join date, previous transaction confirmation numbers, board activity, IP addresses, etc. It wouldn't be very difficult. Then they could provide passwords, links, or info based on that so it would at least minimize this from happening. It's one thing for a few tickets to get out to broker's, it's another to see hundreds of them.

I totally agree that there must be someway to avoid disappointment, especially for the long time supporters and dedicated fans! And those suggestions are great ones....I really hope this is taken seriously.

For those fans who are looking to get tickets to the Toronto Show...I just called Massey Hall to ask about tickets and I guess today they started selling tickets for the concert to their registered 'friend first members'.  I was able to buy 4 tickets (not together....but I didnt care) on the floor level. So when I called the box office they secured the tickets and then I joined up to be a member for an $80 fee. It was the cheepest membership level, but you get discounts and notification of upcoming concerts and early ticket access at Massey Hall for a year.

So after much disappointment with the presale tickets on the website....I ended up with very good tickets which I'm very thankful for, eventhough I had to pay $80 to become a member.

Regardless I hope this can help anyone else who wants to attend the Toronto show, and are worried they wont get tickets when the public sale starts.

    Good luck

Oakland Tickets wanted. I have not been here for quite some time and just found out David is playing in Oakland, CA on Thu, 12/13/07. I believe all tickets are sold. If any of you have extra and are willing to sell send me a PM. I have been a fan since 1999 and are dying to see him again. How can one miss a great concert with David Gray. To all have a Happy Thanksgiving!
