    music on the telly update:

Sat 27 Oct: BBC2 BBC Electric Proms: 11:50 pm - 12:20 am (with a 90 min compilation program on 29th October).

Edith Bowman introduces a special concert by east London art-rockers Bloc Party, as they bring their commercial indie sound to the historic Roundhouse for the BBC Electric Proms.

Fresh from a tour of the UK and US, the four-piece fronted by Kele Okereke are joined by a 22-strong choir for innovative reworkings of songs from their two hit albums, Silent Alarm and Weekend In The City. Sleep

Mon 29 Oct: BBC 2 BBC Electric Proms: 11:20 pm - 12:50 am.

Edith Bowman and Zane Lowe look back at the highlights of the ambitious festival that took over seven venues in Camden.

True to the Electric Proms' mission to deliver "new moments in music", there's been a series of exhilarating collaborations, together with showcasing new music and new approaches to old music. Featured here are clips from all the headliner concerts at the Roundhouse: musical man of the moment Mark Ronson and a host of guests combine with the might of the BBC Concert Orchestra, legendary singer-songwriter and former Kinks' frontman Ray Davies explores new interpretations of his rich repertoire with the Crouch End Chorus, Kaiser Chiefs and musical maestro David Arnold are joined by up to 30 musicians including dhol drummers and members of the Ukelele Orchestra of Great Britain, east London's Bloc Party experiment with new choral arrangements of their two hit albums. And then there is the man himself, Paul McCartney, revelling in playing such an intimate venue, with a concert that features The Beatles, Wings and solo songs, and an art-rock production that recalls the 'happenings' of the Roundhouse's in the 1960s.

On top of all this, there'll be performances from support acts and from other venues around Camden, including Editors at Koko and Icelandic soundscapers Sigur Ros at Cecil Sharpe House, demonstrating the enormous variety of this welcome addition to the festival scene.
