I was really confused when I ordered too - I thought the "TBA release" was for stores and we were in on a special pre-release.

I think those who bought the CD should be able to download for free, especially since we don't know when the CDs will be out.  

I hate to be a whiner, but I don't think it's fair to have to pay for the same music twice.  

I'd just assume get a refund on my CD purchase to be quite honest. I'm not really sure what the hold up is and obviously there are a lot of people confused by the "release date" issue. I'm not sure how much money they've already made from people pre-ordering it, but I think more harm than good is becoming of this situation. The fact of the matter is that whoever posted the information didn't do a very good job of getting the information out correctly and clearly.

 I'd rather save myself money and just buy the digital downloads than pay $20.00 and not have any idea when I'll get what I paid for. That tells me that they have no idea and it's more than likely several more months away.

 Do I need to email customer support?

Hey guys don't complain too much, i'll be waiting for my new album for a long time. Here in Holland we always have to wait much longer for Dave's albums. Oh yeah, they normally cost much more too! Dang!Now u got me complaining here!

Well I wondered what had happened to the pre-release of the CD so I emailed them and got a nice reply back

"A Thousand Miles Behind is being offered through DavidGray.com for pre-order.  The CD will be delivered in time for the album's release date - the release dates have just been announced and are as follows. The record will be released in Ireland on November 9, the UK on November 12 and in North America on November 13."

Nice one total confusion, first extorniate delivery price (thankfully reduced after quite a few of us complained)and now we don't get it until its released anyway. Great Scam/Confusion?Whatever you want to call it. A lot of people aren't happy about this guys. I'm one of them now.

 

Hi Matt, Those dates listed are for the Greatest Hits Album not A Thousand Miles Behind. The release date has not been confirmed for that CD yet.

A month almost since the pre-order started and still no word of a release date ?  How ridiculous! 

I went to a Keane gig last year and ordered a copy of that nights performance on CD before the show and picked it up after the show, it really doesn't take that long, so I can't understand what the hold up is.

I'm bumping this up, as my question above still seems to be unanswered.

It's now been approx. 6 weeks since the "pre-sale" of the CD and monies taken from our accounts, if we are not provided with a "release date" for the CD within the next week, I am contacting BBC Watchdog and perhaps if anyone else feels the same as I do should do so also.

Everyday I keep rushing home from work hoping that my Thousand Miles Behind CD will be waiting for me................still no sign!!! I am gettng really fed up now, the really annoying thing is I've paid for it!! ARGH! I'm sure I am not the only one. Sorry, just wanted to rant for a bit

You are not the only one, I have been patient, but now its getting out of hand.  I was told in an email by a site administrator that I will receive my CD when the album has an official release date, whatever that means, just mail my DG album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. I feel like I'm missing out, to me he is one of the most under rated musicians of his time.

Unfortunately you won't find that information here....of all places.....the only place any of us could probably expect to get info.....the only place SELLING the cd.....

Yes it's gotten quite silly. The lack of information, which has always seemed to elude this fine website, is that of a very poorly told joke. Granted the moderators are trying to be civil about the matter, it seems as if they aren't really doing anything but typing an automated response that they're given. At least that's what it feels like.
