i agree jfm, this album is fantastic. Lyrically I think it's his best work, musically it is also amazing, infact it''s mindblowing.I love it, and I cant wait to see him in september.

I totally fell in love with "Nos De Caraid". Maybe the best DG-song I've ever heard.

havent posted around here for a long time, but am equally as impressed with the new music.how can i describe it.. im a lot happier listening to these songs the first time, then i was after hearing the last album for the first time. ANDAM went on to win me over but not as quickly as this one has.i'll be honest, ive listened to the album for a couple of days now thanks to those dirty internet thieves and not this NPR show you mention?is this show availble for download somewhere?cheers

The new DG songs are all simply incredible. 'Slow Motion' is my current favorite, featuring David's trademark simplicity coupled with a beautiful melody. 'Alibi' is also a superb song, venturing into the more theatrical genre, which DG has so far avoided. I love it. Oh, who am I kidding? All the songs are great!! Or the ones I've heard, anyway. This is shaping up to be his best album ever. And I really, honestly mean that.BTW, I'm new here. In case anyone wondered. Hi!

Cheers jono,Fingers crossed re 'Gathering Dust', not sure about the audio quality though. Got a nice live version of 'Smile' as well which I think you will like...another candidate for that live acoustic cd. I just love Davids voice it is so amazing. I can listen to his music for hours at a time.

Darlo, thanks! I'm looking forward to David's new album like no album ever before. And I mean that. There's just something about his music that manages to hit me right in the chest. And the longevity of his songs is amazing - I can listen to them non-stop for days on end without growing tired of a single one.

I too have been listening to the NPR show endlessly and have to agree that it's amazing. ANDAM took a few listens before I could really get into it but this new one got me at the first beat. I cannot wait to see the show in Oct.

what a first track.. this would be a perfect song to start a show with as well. great warm up song for the vocal chords. lets you know straight away this is gonne be a great albumThe One I Love
top song. very radio friendly which i dont mind. there is a difference is crap pop written just to make money, and songs that simply sound great and therefore will get played on radio. Lately

this was another one i found great in the car yesterday. i love singing along to songs really loudly when im in the car alone, and this chorus rocks for this purpose. (NB i cant sing, that doesnt stop me however)

this may have been the one i was thinking i dont like much. its good - its new DG for cryin' out loud.. its just a bit meh.. compared to the other stuff on the cd.Disappearing World
love this track. love a bit of an epic at the end of an album.. like a champagne supernova or something. builds up quite nicely, then finishes with dave all on his own at the end.. very fitting.
