Hi everyone! I'm from Qu?bec city, been a fan since 2001, unfortunately David's music isn't played at the radio as often as it should out here...also I was wondering if by any chance he would consider playing here or maybe in Montr?al. By the way, sorry for the bad english writing, I usually speak french.

    David,
I just wanted to send you a quick email and let you know just how important your music is to my wife and I. Last September we got Married to your classic Be Mine. Your song and her image are forever burned into my soul. She was stunning and your words were incredibly fitting. Thank you for that moment. It would mean the world to us to experience this emotion live in Portland tomorrow night. We have been waiting for this moment as a celebration of our commitment for some time now and would be forever grateful. We will understand if it is not on the list of songs for the night and will be happy just to enjoy the occasion but would be thrilled for years to come to hear Be Mine together. See you tomorrow-- Your friends,
    Michael Bachara & Angie Bachara

David's music always with me. Music in player when I go for work. Music on dvd at my place (I am absolutely happy that there will be a new disk, I have already ordered it). Music so is conformable with my private world. It is so harmonious, that I simply live in this music.
And so it would be desirable to hear alive.... To tell the truth, to reach not so it is simple. Because I in Russia. And you do not gather to Moscow with concerts? Is not present? Then I shall try to arrived sometime Ireland - there at me friends, and you frequently are there to concerts. Perhaps, I all the same shall see the alive concert. May be... May be... I hope...

I've noticed that some artists when they meet fame and fortune for several years... They forget there roots. For example, I've been a fan of Tori Amos for years, and last summer...she played an outdoor concert. Well, Tori turned me off, and i was a huge fan since 1996...well, she told off her staff on stage...was yelling, swearing, and degrading them. I found that appalling and I can't support someone...(spending my hard earned money for tickets) who's so nasty. Yah, we all have bad days, but she's a performer and you don't embarass someone so you can recieve praise(everyone was chearing her on like idiots)Tori Amos and you, David are my two favorite artists but now...i've been listening to you more and more because your honesty....I see a man who says "here I am....take me or leave me". I want to be part of your road to success. I support you...I even appreciate your not-so-good-songs. But the majority are GREEAAT!!!Keep on sharing your expierences, for I will never see Germany, Russia, Ireland, and S. Africa, and etc.Music, sir...expands peoples minds & hearts.Your Friend,SaraP.S.Think about what have rather than what you don't have.

David, This is off topic but very important nevertheless... HERE IS A COPY OF A LETTER I AM SENDING. PLEASE READ ON AS IT ADDESSES YOUR MUSIC BEING USED AS A TOOL TO TORTURE PRISONERS: To Metallica, David Gray, Amnesty International and others,Are you aware that your music is/was being used to torture prisoners at Guantanamo and Abu Ghraib? Metallica/staff please read paragraph 9 or except below. David Gray/staff please read paragraph 10 or except below.Read 'Doing Time Behind Bars for Protesting Against Torture'. Written by Robin Lloyd. Monday, 10 April 2006. Read it at: http://towardfreedom.com/home/content/view/792/I am attemting to appeal to your good sensibilities as, after all, I myself would be outraged if my music was being used to such end and would demand an explanation. More writers are bound to bring this to press and I am not sure this is to be taken lightly. I myself am concidering writting articles and using my field contacts at PR Newswire and others to publish my investigative reports. Please look into this seriously. There are testimonies to verify these abuses and many more articles outlining this sort of behavior by the U.S. military. It not only makes you look bad and can become a PR nightmare, but is illegal and, at very least, unconscionable. It may even open doors to lawsuits against you by victim's families abroad and should be carefully examined on that basis alone. Please head this off and condemn it before it gets out of control. I can think of at least 10 good reasons why U2 (and Bono) would probably be more than happy to take up arms against this issue publically. I would suggest coordination with their publishers and legal advisors as well. Best Regards,
    Tom MatijasevicArticle Excepts:
...American music such as Metalica's 'Enter Sandman' have been played at mind numbing volume sometimes for stretches of up to 14 hours, creating a "disco inferno," reports Moustafa Bayoumi, who also has an article in The Nation?s Torture......Haj Ali told of being hooded, stripped, handcuffed to his cell and bombarded with a looped sample of David Gray's "Babylon". It was so loud, he said, "I thought my head would burst." The journalist then cued up "Babylon" on his iPod and played it for Haj Ali to confirm the song. Ali ripped the earphones off his head and started crying. "He didn't just well up with tears," the journalist reported. "He broke down sobbing."...

Thanks for Byron Bay David! You & the guys travelled a long way to give us your music & my sister and I will remember it forever. It was she who introduced me to your sound when she plugged the "Point" dvd in about a year ago. So it was very fitting for us to share your gig at the Blues Fest in Byron Bay.
Please, Please come to OZ often. You'll pack da house!

G'day. I am an oldie, havnt been able to go on holiday for 30 years, married a gambler, he left a few years ago. Begged the Gods of Music to give me inspiration. My daughter said "were going to the Blues Fest" I said "hells bells, I'm too old", she said David Gray going to be there. I said who's he? Well now I know. Thanks honey, for coming to Australia, and letting me find out. Five days of music restored this old withered up soul and gave me back inspiration. One of the best at the fest. My heart is singing again and hasn't stopped. God bless you all. Cheers xxPoppy
