    Hi Bluewater!

I found a post from 2000 and an articel by The Guardian from 2004 about DG's Fan Forest! That's all I could find. Sad

http://www.undercover.com.au/20030120_davidgray.html David Gray has a novel idea for fans to help the environment. He is inviting fans to plant a tree in his forest.Gray is contributing his name to Future Forest's CarbonNeutral program. Funds will be invested in woodland site creating new habitat for wildlife and growing trees to
soak up carbon dioxide and produce oxygen for protecting the climate. There will be two David Gray fan forests. One in the USA and one in England but you can plant a tree from anywhere in the world via his website. The locations are Boston West Farm and Fenside Wood, Cambridgeshire, UK.For your donation you will be sent a personal colour certificate (which you could dedicate to someone special if you'd like) and a map showing you where the tree has been planted. To plant a tree in the David Gray fan forest go to www.futureforests.com/davidgray
The Guardian wrote in his articel about this issue:

    ...David Gray
With the release of his album A New Day at Midnight, David Gray made a contribution to Future Forests. Devotees were able to dedicate a £10 tree in the star's "Fan Forest" in Lincolnshire

    Hi

I remember it well - I bought a tree myself and some for friends for Christmas 2004.

The site was called futureforests.com but that soes not exist now and diverts to the carbonneutral.com site. This has a dedicate a tree section. When I got mine there were 4 or 5 people who had forests on there but there are no named ones now. maybe the forest is full.

However, I have e-mailed the site to ask if the DG Forest is still available and I will post here when I have a reply.

I just got this reply from the carbonneutral.com site.

     Hello Dave,

    Thank you for your interest.

Unfortunately, we aren’t doing anymore dedications in this area as it is now complete.

I apologise for any disappointment caused.

    Kind regards,

    Naomi

So looks like it is too late now - sorry folks Sad

It was a great site, given it's name by Dave himself.

I wonder if it will ever come back or if anyone knows who the creator was Beer

I only remember it being mentioned in The Kangaroo Bar. I was going to ask on here about it a while ago but thought that it may have been covered before, and as I couldn't find anything about it on the internet, I just assumed it was all over. Glad to here about the wood being full, I might go and check it out, it won't be too far away from me.

Mr Gray, there could never be enough trees in the world as far as I'm concerned, and now you have the attention of all the good folk on here, why don't you kick off the idea once more, I reckon it would be a sure winner Big Smile
