    Yes they played all their old favourites, it was more like a greatest hits tour, rather than a tour for their latest album, Alex will love it, enjoy.

    thanks elysium..........you can tell he is looking forward to it!

    after a second spin through the album I like it more.........I think this will be maria and my fifth time seeing Coldplay - while I am kinda over them I am also starting to look forward to it as well........not in the religious sense of DG but simply to just go have a poppin good time! Smile

    I'm sure you'll all have a great time, we were given wristbands on entering the stadium, I thought I'm a little old for wristbands, lol, but the effect when they flashed to the beat on certain songs was phenomenal, there were lots of fireworks, confetti, balloons etc, so along with the great live performance of the musicians and Chris Martin overall an excellent show.

    My daughter and friend thought the show was out of this world, but I did compare it in my own thoughts to going to see DG and came up with, it was like comparing seeing the spectacular Notting Hill carnival procession or watching loved ones appear in view after a long time not seeing them, no matter how spectacular, there's just no comparison, crazy lady or what, lol.

    it was a great show indeed........and agree the wristbands were VERY cool.......along with all the other special effects...........I have called it an attention defecit disroder's dream as it was pretty much nonstop!! I have to think maybe even more pronounced inside than out but may be wrong - but yes a wonderful and fun gig

    and most importantly alex had a blast!

    but I definitely hear you - there was nothing there for maria or I intellectually.....they don't hold a candle - in fact in my mind it is as much theatre as it is a performance.......so now on to some serious business!

    I'm looking forward to a few concerts with Bob Dylan, Snow Patrol, The Walkabouts, Andrea Schroeder and Leonard Cohen to name but a few!  :-)

    Two of David's heroes in that impressive list nevermind .

    I'm going to see James Morrison in a few weeks at Newcastle Academy, looking forward to Stockton weekender festival to see James, an acoustic set from Ocean Colour Scene and really looking forward to seeing The Pogues there for the first time.

    well hawaii got in the way of detroit but we still get chciago, minneapolis and dayton...............woot!!!

    I am excited to be seeing a few shows coming up in the next couple of months.  In September, Sarah McLachlan (who lives here in Vancouver) is holding a benefit outdoor concert for her music school for underprivelged children, at that concert will be herself, Stevie Nicks, Bryan Adams, Hedley (a Canadian band) and lots of others.  One of the lawyers I work with gave me a free ticket to this show as she is a personal friend of Sarah's and I helped her do work for her charitable socities, so I was very grateful and excited to be offered this... I am also going to see Rufus Wainwright and Royal Wood at separate shows in October!Big Smile  Also, keeping my fingers crossed that DG will grace us with his presence again soon!
