Nevermind, scrape your tongue off the floor and stop your dribbling for a second will you. I'm going to explain GA's point to you. Why do I have to explain everything several times to you people? I only usually have to say things once in General. Okay, now I'm going to say this slowly and clearly, just so as you will definitely understand the point this time. THIS IS ABOUT THE PEOPLE WHO ARE NOT AROUND TO VOTE, AND THEIR PRIVACY, NOT GRIEVOUS ANGEL'S, MINE, ELSIE'S OR ANYONE ELSES WHO HAS THE CHANCE OF OPTING OUT. Thankyou. You may carry on flapping your arms around and howling like a dog now.
Allegedly.

katiedear:This is why I think the public display of birthdays should be an opt in, rather than an opt out thing. It's a simple fix for this (and only this) argument.
This has been the suggestion all along Katie. But it's not acceptable apparently. Probably just too logical.
Allegedly.

jbug: (...)What's with your attitude? Can't we have dissenting opinions here? Or is that not allowed? (...)
Good joke! One question. Where have you been as lovley grievangel tried to defame me: Have you decided to ignore my point about identity theft nevermind? Or just logging in as someone else?
I know you use to post in the general section. So let me ask you, where was your howl of protest when some members where trying to defame me and other members as noell, trolls etc.? Did you stand up to say stop to those offenders? Now, of all time you are tin-skinned?

Wonder if it would be acceptable if it came from someone not involved in General? If someone from one of the other sections had suggested it, I bet the response would be "You're right, that's wonderful to think of the people not here. Thank you for sharing" etc etc, But since it comes from one of the General crowd, it's sh!te.

No. But this G.Angel is notorious here as a very uncivilized poster who deserves an apposite answer. And you didn't answer my question. Where have you been as this grievangel defamed me. Or are only crying crocodile tears?

If you would like people to treat you in a respectful manner, you must do that yourself.
Regardless, I haven't been able to fully keep up on these threads, when did GA defame you? Do you mean defame as in speak dishonorably about or do you mean defame like libelous or slanderous speech?

Ah that's sweet. Uncivilised eh? I suppose I have only just learnt to make polite conversation, and sometimes at those awful dinner parties I'm never quite sure which cutlery to use. I can never remember is it start at the outside and work in or is it something different. Must be my celtic blood. And I'm not sure, but did I try to defame you or actually defame you when I asked you a question? It's just that one minute you're saying I tried to defame you, but above you said I defamed you? Just for clarification, which is it? Have to admit, I'd be more devastated about being called uncivilised if it came from someone who could actually spell. But maybe that's my "tin skin" Much more useful than thin skin I find. Back to the dictionary nevermind. That is of course when your blood pressure has returned to a safer level.

Where have I been? Sorry, was it my turn to defend your honor? I don't see any proof of GA defaming you. Sure, there's been a lot of speculation about whether or not noel was an alter/ego and if so, who it could've been, but the mods know what needs to be done to stop the speculation. As for answering questions, you haven't answered GA'a from waaaay back a few pages. I came out of lurker mode because I'm very uncomfortable with birth dates being made public for everyone, knowing that some who may not be around or aware of the vote wouldn't want that info shared. And whether you like him or not, GA makes a very valid and strong point about it being a potential legal problem. Honestly, your post way back there about some threads in General reads like someone who is jealous that they're not a part of the fun. But instead of joining in the fun, they make nasty nonsensical rants about how others don't have any right to fun and how those in the fun are horrible people. Then again, maybe it's a cultural or language difference - is English your first language? I'm not being snarky, actually, I'm asking because in all honesty most of what you say makes no sense to me. Ah but it's the holidays! Let's all raise a glass ETA - quoting seems to be beyond me today... this is in reply to nevermind.

I vote for "opting in" to the display of birthdates.
If I close my eyes....

I say we toss the old poll and start a new one? Can anyone start a poll? I don't know how to if we can.
