Hi David, found your music about six months ago. (I know, I know, where I've been for the last seven years, but better late than never!) I now have the full set of albums and they're ******* brilliant!! See you at Guildford mate, then at Newcastle later this year. I'm in the hall as well (and I'm just as glad). All the best.Geoff Mallin

Wow! i love david gray, i haven't felt this excited about a musician since i got into jeff buckley, who unfortuately left us far too early in 1997. I think david's voice is amazing, his lyrics and style...all just amazing, passionate and intimate. He inspires me and everytime I listen to White ladder, I feel inspired to write more songs. None of which can compare unfortnately. (check em on my website if ur bored )I saw david at glastonbury, I got a day ticket for the Sunday and was soooooo happy when burt couldnt turn up hahaha im so mean, but I reaaaally wanted to see david gray especially when i saw him on TV on the saturday and well the gods were smiling on me and I managed to see him- they were smiling on David too, who went down a storm! He was the highlight of the day (for me along with the other david!)David Gray's perfomance on jools holland was astounding...anyone catch that a while ago? Damn I can't get enough of him and am so pleased he is finally getting the success he deserves!!!!!David if your reading this...thanks for keeping the music world alive and inspirational when for the past god knows how long, all we have been bombarded with is Britney spears and the like...!Thanx for keeping it real!~Ruth~

Does anyone know where the bastard went? He borrowed a pair of cords from me and said he was going to the laundrette. I mean, they weren't new or anything...even slightly 'kneesed' , but they were mine. ?12.99 out the catalogue and there was a Bazooka Joe in one of the pockets..I save the wrappers you see. I wanted a pair of X-Ray Specs or one of those hats with the propeller on top. A chip off the old block so I'm told . His Da, Bum Tickly, apparently still has the keys for Neil Youngs bicycle chain lock which were in the turn-up of a pair of Wranglers that Neil leant him to go for a pint of milk.

After hearing 'Babylon' I had to go and buy 'White Ladder' - I was not disappointed. I can't stop listening to it, it's brilliant. Tomorrow I go in search of more albums. If only my music was as good as yours...Cheers M.[This message has been edited by Sail Away (edited 11 July 2000).]

David - I first saw you on the highlights of Glastonbury and felt a sense of euphoria listening to Babylon.....I rushed home to tell my boyfriend about you but before I could open my mouth he said he'd just heard this guy called David Gray on the radio....needless to say we are both hooked! Wishing you all the success in the world.
Please play at Glasgow Green in August - please!!!!!Mr Hotelcalifornia.... I'll bet Jeff looked better in the cords than you did

I don't claim to be psychic but i have this strong overwhelming feeling that water is involved in this mystery ....yes a long winding river......Your bubblegum appears to be lodged under a rock in the Mississippi river.......wonder how it got there?? (sorry Jeff )

Do you mean the greedy bastard ate it? Maybe he thought it was Oxygum. I used to do that...pretend to be Marine Boy and stay under water for days. I won't be surprised if he turns up like an old prune. I used to. I'd jump in the canal looking like a pre-Raphealite angel and emerge a fortnight later looking like Wilfred Bramble...that'll teach him.

David: for your perseverance, you deserve it all. I've 'been with you', so to speak, since the beginning. You're one of the few true Poets of the music world. Record sales be damned: you could have sold 5 albums and you'd still be the greatest musician in the world. All the very best. Drew
PS- Please don't forget your acoustic roots; they're too beautiful.
