    katyR:
As I have told you countless times, Kendall, in fact I informed you of this BEFORE the boards were even made public, the suggestion you posted for people having problems does not work. It does not work for Safari users. I did think you were keeping your promise to 'try and sort it out' but had just had problems doing so. It seems this is not the case, and you'd just forgotten all about it. Which is great for me and all the other Safari users who have been patiently waiting for the issue to be resolved all this time. I typed the post to the above mentioned thread on my WORK computer. And thanks for replying to Courtney's question about my issues. Much appreciated.

    Hi katyR,

In this post http://www.davidgray.com/forums/thread/693738.aspx you specifically said that you were able to type in paragraphs. Nothing is said about work computers.

Jesus kendall, how about you address some of the members real concerns ie illegal activity etc before you start being childish and picky.  Grow up.

I said I could acheive paragraphs by using the space bar to separate lines, Kendall. Not the same thing. And if you read further into the thread you will see I was the only person this worked for. So are you happy with new members turning up and having to use their space bars to make new paragraphs? Is that okay? Is the problem now solved?
    Allegedly.

So Kendall, is there any chance that the issues with Safari will be addressed at some point? On behalf of myself and the ever-growing number of Safari users on the net? Perhaps you could make the Safari problem a sticky? So that new members know there's a problem and that something is being done to address it? Would that be possible?
    Allegedly.

Hi katyR, as you know we have tried several different ways to address this problem you have with paragraphs. It's not a Safari issue so much as it is the specific version of Safari that you are usiing. Myself and many others who use Safari do not have this same experience.

For now you do have the ability to make paragraphs in your post although it is not the conventional way it does work for you. If any others have this same issue they can contact me and I will deal with it on an individual basis.

    Thanks

It is quite obviously not just me, kendall. Several other members have reported problems. I can't use different fonts on Firefox either, nor can I use smilies on my work pc! There are several issues, although none of them as annoying as the paragraphs one.

While I appreciate that yes, I have found a way round the problem, albeit an annoying and time consuming solution, you don't seem to be overly concerned that new people will be coming to the site and experiencing the same glitches. How long has it been since the new board went live? And the problems still seem to be no closer to being resolved.

I'm a little miffed that you would suggest 'Oh yeah Katy can do paragraphs now, here is an example of her doing paragraphs.' like I am some kind of retard who hasn't noticed! I'm not complaining for the fun of it you know. It's bloody annoying, and I was under the impression you were still looking for ways to resolve it.

Apparently, according to Amber, the mods cannot share any information about one member with another member, since it's against the Privacy policy of this site.  So i assume then that this includes dates of birth?  or is it only information they decide they don't want to share?

It's your choice whether to share your dates of birth or not. NOBODY has forced you to show any private infos on public display.  Mad

Yes, but not all the members of this website are aware of that and probably don't even know that there is a vote happening 'cos they're not obsessively checking in all day.

What's with your attitude?  Can't we have dissenting opinions here?  Or is that not allowed?

DG was right, his website is the work of the devil. (paraphrased of course but that's what the man himself has said.  Not too far off the mark eh)

ETA: This is in reply to nevermind's angry diatribe regarding people being able to change their b'day info.  Suggestion for site: make the 'reply' buttons clearer ffs.

This is why I think the public display of birthdays should be an opt in, rather than an opt out thing. It's a simple fix for this (and only this) argument.
