Hello, everyone!  I've been a DG fan (okay, fanatic) for about 12 years now but new to your Boards.  Just wanted to say thanks to davidcotyalex for finding and posting the Jim Beam link - it's not something I would have found on my own.  It's great to see DG looking so comfortable in front of a camera, good for him!

Thanks, David. Funny you should mention the summer tour - that's what brought me to this site!  Will be driving 900 miles to Louisville to see DG for the first time - so excited that I may need to be sedated in the days leading up to the show. I hope they have Cracker Barrel restaurants in that part of the country ...

you should car pool with Vicki! She is cutting short her FL vacation to drive up for the gigs...........not sure on Cracker Barrel!!!

alas I will not be at that show as they booked it after we bought cubs tickets thinking it would be a day off.....we do get to catch four gigs from this tour though so we are good!

 

CleanLinenIroned, as DCA has said, I'll be at the Louisville show, too.  I'll be in Cape San Blas, FL, then heading up for the gig.  As it's general admission, we'll probably be waiting in line for a while waiting for the gates to open, so I'd love to meet you!  I honestly would love to stand by you during the show just to see you experience David live for the first time.  I'm so happy and excited for you.  There's nothing like it!!

I'm just looking back to when I first watched the video and was thinking it must have been filmed in some hotel.  How funny to look at it now and think "of course".  Disappointed I didn't pick up on the beads myself. Good job Spinny! Sure a looks different without mobs of people.

Hello Vicki -  I will look for you at the gate, thanks very much!  Am wanting to arrive early in the day but also would like to bring a bouquet of flowers for DG - need to figure out how to keep them from wilting though.  I checked the Farmer's Almanac for a weather report, if the Almanac is accurate we'll be there at the end of a heat spell.  The forecast for the 29th is "thundry" and "cooler" (I would have thought the word would be thundery but they said "thundry" - I kinda like that...).  Question:  Have you ever been to the Iroquois Amphitheater before?  They have a nice slide show online - curious to know what's going on in front of the stage. It looks to me like the barrier to keep fans off the stage is also going to block the view of the stage from the front rows...
