    miralake:

Here's my dream setlist following DG's lead about playing Lost and Found songs...fun thread since we are all still clearly in DG Fantasyland since all this fabulous news broke on Monday.

    Foundling

    Silver Lining

    The Light

    Only the Wine

    Who's Singing Now

    Clean Pair of Eyes

    Birds Without Wings

    We're Not Right

    Wisdom

    Nos Da Cariad

    Lately

    Fixative

    Forgetting

    Lovers

    Tidal Wave

    Nemesis

    Davey Jones' Locker

       Encore:

    It Accumulates

    Song to the Siren

    The Rice

now THATS a terrific set list and what an encore.  if he does Siren the NY audience will perish because I will explode with joy...

Oh no!! Don't explode with joy! That sounds extremely messy, but does leave quite a visual!! Ha ha. And fieryone...I'm the opposite. Living in the moment is much, much harder the older I get. Send your zen tips my way!!!

Sail Away is pretty obvious tho, because you put it as third or fourth song and you've instantly won the crowd over if you haven't already.

While i like the song, i reckon its usually better when played later on in the show ^^

Like encore or last song of main set

Ya, it really goes anywhere. David's started and ended shows with it and it works all kinds of ways.

Btw, where are all the ANDAM requests? It's not my fav album, but the more quieter songs like Last Boat to America and December could be great with a new arrangement (or old..).

Yeah.. songs like Long Distance Call, Last Boat and December would be interesting to hear.

..I requested Easy Way To Cry Stick out tongue

and even though its not on my list (or on ANDAM for that fact), words cannot express how happy i'd be if Say Hello was played...

That song has grown into a new dimension

"Won't you take this spatula in your hand?"  Who could have ever imagined this line in a song. I love to sing along to The Rice!

I must admit, The Rice would be a real treat Big Smile

I found myself singing this particular line over and over again last night...

Am listening to the limelight gig in 1999 - I am so pissed at myself for not including The Light on my list!

Now that would also be one awesome treat on this thing!

Haha dca, i know what you mean.. The Light is like one of my all time favs and i missed it out Sad... i think ive now realised that i'll probably be overwhelming happy with any setlist that comes together.

Let the Truth Sting also came to mind today.. The poetry within that song is just amazing!

    nice one!

    birds without wings??!!

    and...... and.......... and....... lol!

this is what is driving me absolutely nuts with Ford as well - every time I get anywhere near 12 songs I find myself starting over haha!

at some point the calendar finally catches up and you just throw caution to the wind and it is what it is!!

David did birds for the itunes ep a few years back and it's a snorefest compared to the ACE version. If he can get that What Are You? anger back then yeah, sure.

    The Light would be awesome!

Limelight also has Smile.. that would be cool as well.

I couldn't bring myself  to send a set list for fear of Forgetting something. I did, however, include Last Boat To America. Do you guys think that we won't be singing along as much since David said this would be more of a "listening" show?

That's okay with me. I remember before the first DG show I went to, I was imagining how amazing it was going to be to hear him sing in person. I dreamed of sitting there being enveloped by the music. Surprise, the crowd was singing so loud it was hard to hear David. I have since seen how he loves to engage the crowd.
