Had a wonderful evening tonight at the Thetford gig. It was good to meet some familiar faces in the front row with me. My girlfriend Andy enjoyed the show very much. We both bought a copy of John Smith's Live At The Roundhouse CD too and he autographed them and chatted to us for a few minutes - nice chap. We might go see him at The Slaughtered Lamb in London if we're free.
My favourite gig so far for ad-libs and DG banter. The song about the Little Chef on the A11 closing down was quality. As was the Norfolk vs Suffolk battle re-enactments. The lady behind us quite correctly said that when things go wrong with equipment, that's when you see the real person. Well, the real David Gray is a cool and funny guy!
Hope everyone else got home safely. My feet ache from the standing and foot tapping and if my previous DG gigs are anything to go by, I'll have neck ache in the morning from my wobbly headed audience participation. It'll all be well worth it though!
