Just popping my head in here to agree with the sentiments above - Hammersmith was a fantastic performance! And it was my seven-year-old son's birthday that day, and his first DG gig! He loved it, although he had had a long day, having travelled from Ireland that morning. He dozed off about half way through the concert. We wanted to leave him on a raised platform just behind us (for wheelchairs), over to the side where he wouldn't be in the way, but the nasty woman who worked there wouldn't let us (rules are rules apparently, even though another member of staff had previously said it'd be okay once the music started).
Anyway, the music was beautiful, as always, and it was a great first evening for our weekend in London. DG was on fine form, unlike my singing voice (though that didn't stop me trying!).
I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by. - Douglas Adams
