It's been a while!

i guess so............love the post count of elder bb members!

staying around or just passing through??

I always wonder where the old posters disappeared. I mean, I don't think there's a single active user here who's registered before 2005.

I've actually spent some time reading all the stuff from the ancient times in the before 07 board.. lots of interesting discussion. Completely different community than exists nowadays. Well, there actually isn't much community of a here anymore, I guess.

I should have gotten on this DG bandwagon a lot earlier, I was spending my time on the wrong boards back in the start of 00's!

There are a few of us still kicking. We weren't Grayheads (by title) back in 2002, but we're proud as hell to be here. I do hope that some of our former posters resolve our differences (on both sides) and be our prodigal sons and daughters. Darn happy to see Hartley's back!

It got ugly for awhile. I guess with all the manure that was thrown around, it later gave the roses a chance to bloom. There are so many of our lost friends that are missing the beauty of what they (as our founders) have planted.

I imagine it was a bit like the official damien rice board until they shut it down a couple years ago...........total wild west with no monitoring so LOTS of trolling and nonsense - sometimes it made for great craic but then people started assuming other identities and at times it got really nasty..............hence the big change around here

Shame I missed it. I love internet board drama and crazy ****.  Well, I used to. I kind of appreciate the (relatively lol!) intelligent discussion we have here compared to some other forums on the Internet. Another place I frequent is BTX, a Springsteen forum, where you have 50% of good stuff and then 50% the worst kind of trolling & crap that's on the Internet. Sometimes you just want to read a good discussion and it goes off topic to some pointless debate between two people... gets a bit old. Oh well, I'd take that over what goes around here. This place has seen better days even in the time I've been here!

you are the master at concluding two conflicting concepts within the same statement!

as has been said by rena - the board is only as good as its members make it....................eskimofriends is decent enough and half alive although a bit kumbayah-ish at times...................i think facebook has also interfered - most of my conversation about music DG etc happens there

lol! Was just trying to say that although I like the more intelligent discussion, I'd take all the dorks & trolls here too if it made for a more livelier community.
